I totally recommend it because it fast and repayable

Played this first with my brother and sister at a weekend getaway. I instantly loved the mechanics and how quick it was to learn (we’re pretty big gamers and used to intricate and involved games - think Gloomhaven, Viticulture, Everdell, Scythe, etc). So I was kind of surprised by how much I enjoyed this. I went home and bought it and was even more surprised that my kids love it. It’s a game I can enjoy playing with my 5 year old. She needs a little help now and then but on the whole we’ve played it so much she knows what combos she’s after and getting pretty good. Meanwhile, I still manage to have fun trying to maximize my hand each game. There’s not many games that fill that niche in our home - fun for adults and kids. There’s a lot of luck to be sure, but definitely some strategy and card counting and agonizing decision making when you’ve got to decide between one strategy vs another. Use the “app of scoring” - just google that in conjunction with fantasy realms and it does all the math for you.

Fun game and a good value. You get the base game, expansion, promo cards and sleeves all in one box for a great price. If you are interested in Fantasy Realms this is the best version to buy.

Excellent combo building game. This game plays so fast (like 15 minutes), is so fun, and is so easy to learn, and yet it offers surprising depth and replayability. I can see why everyone has been raving about the game. Plays great at 2, I expect it would scale well to larger player counts too. One of the best things is that there is a free scoring app online to make calculating your score nearly instantaneous.It's got kind of a generic fantasy setting, but that lends itself really well to my style of playing because I like to make up a short story using all the cards in my hand at the end of the game. For example, I told the story of the princess who was frightened as a child from the fire elementals that ravaged the kingdom, but she trained with the sword under the guidance of a warlord and raised a great army of knights to quell the fire and restore peace.The quality of the cards is good, even without the sleeves that are included in this edition. And there are plenty of extra sleeves included, just in case. I appreciate that I can get the original base game, the expansion, a couple of promos, card sleeves, and a score pad (kinda unnecessary, but nice to have if your Internet is down) all in one box for less than the total cost of the original printings. Minor criticism, the box is a little bit too big, but not an insane amount. Overall, a really great card game, well worth the cost of entry.

I had the original copy of the game. I bought this and it is totally worth it. I don’t care much for the changes in drawings, but the changes in text is great. Text is now more clear to read and you find combos with ease. The only drawback is final scoring. It needs to link you to their website by QR code where you will find the calculator that automatically calculate your score. You only need to input your cards into the calculator with minimum inputs and see your score.

Fantasy Realms is fun for DnD fans. I played it at a board game club and had to get it for myself. USE THE APP for adding totals, it'll save you so much time.This expansion has plastic sleeves that still work with a card shuffler!!!!-1 star because my friends really hate the new expansion cards. I personally like the locations, but I can do without the others.
