Not my first pellet ice machine, but it’s definitely the best I’ve had! This is a great ice machine. It’s quieter than average, substantially quieter than quite a few out there. The drain hoses in the back make cleaning a breeze & it even has the option of hooking it up to your tap water source - assuming you have tap water worth using. For those of us who want to use bottled water, the door opens fully, giving you ample room to add water. The design makes it extremely difficult to spill or sown water out of the machine while adding water, no matter how uncoordinated you may be or how big a rush you may be in. It is a pellet ice maker. Pellet ice has the softer, “chewier” consistency because it’s not as cold. The insulation on this machine keeps the ice colder than usual, though. Which translates to a slower melt rate and decreased cycling. Makes plenty of ice for my household of 2 heavy ice users. When I anticipate needing more, I simply transfer the full bin’s contents to a freezer bag and collect until I have enough.

This product needs whatever the opposite of stars are. Negative stars? The machine makes a loud, unbearable screeching and wailing sound multiple times in the day and night, stopping only when the machine is unplugged. I would recommend buying literally any other ice machine on the market instead of this one.

We use it exclusively and rarely get ice from the fridge ice maker anymore. The nugget ice is great.

Broke after 2 months

Had an issue with the machine after a few months but Gevi customer service did a great fast job arranging for a replacement

The icemaker works great as long as you keep up on the cleaning, usually once a week with a cleaning agent for icemakers. But like most icemaker on the market there are inherent issues. I have had at least 5 of these pellet ice makers. I always get an extended warranty from square trade or the like and have had to uses it many times. I always keep the orignal box for when I need to return it if a pump fails or something. Having said that the company has ALWAYS been great to work with about issues. They respond quickly and are clear with what they need. They fulfill the warranty and have shipped me replacement devices. It is frustrating how many times I have replaced the unit but I keep going back because I love thr ice it makes.

Absolute crap. Purchased in July and quit in December the same year. DO NOT BUY
