Does the Polypropylene or burlap bags last longer?

In my experience, polypropylene bags outlast burlap significantly IF you protect the bags from UV (sunlight). Otherwise, burlap gets the edge.

The burlap bags are primarily for short term usage (examples: flooding and/or erosion control). Over time the burlap will deteriorate / rot! The polypropylene is also utilized for many of the same conditions. However, these bags have UV protection and will most definitely out last the burlap. Suggestion, don't empty the sand directly into the bag. Leave the sand in its original plastic and work the polypropylene bag around it. Takes a little work, yet provides additional leak protection. Both the burlap and polypropylene bags are porous. Work on the three point shot!

Absolutely these are re-usable. They hold up well. We used them to hold down a huge slip-n-slide, they worked perfectly and are still in great shape.
