Good simple CO monitor that is reliable and last several years. This is the second one we have had.

Works really well, easy set up and you can move it about if you need to, it sits at the back of our woodburner, its piece of mind safety for the family.

Good size and price. Easy to set up. Alarm has good clear sound when tested. Hopefully I won’t hear it for real. Only negative thing is that the flashing light to say is working could be a little brighter. Otherwise a good product.

Like the 10 year life but not had it 10 years yet and it has never gone off. Guess its a matter of trust!

After nearly forgetting a portable CO detector on a cabin trip, I installed this FireAngel FA3820 unit in my bedroom and now travel with it. Setup took seconds: placed it upright on a shelf (free-standing) and later wall-mounted using the included bracket. The 10-year sealed battery was the key selling point – no battery anxiety. The Positives: The electrochemical sensor provides critical accuracy – it triggered a "ventilate" pre-alarm during a malfunctioning heater test (before dangerous levels accumulated). The 85dB alarm is piercingly loud (audible through closed doors) with a blinking red "CO" light for visual alerts. Alarm memory proved invaluable after a brief CO incident while I was out – the flashing light alerted me immediately upon returning home. The compact, lightweight design (95g) slips into luggage effortlessly – I’ve used it in Airbnbs, tents, and ferries. Third-party certifications (Kitemark/BSI) and CE/UKCA marks validate its reliability – non-negotiable for life-saving gear. Minor Considerations: - Wall-mounting requires precise placement (per manual) to avoid false alarms from dust/steam – my first attempt near a bathroom triggered unnecessary alerts. - No smart features like app alerts (expected at this price, but the core function is flawless). - "End-of-life" beeps are identical to low-battery chirps on other devices – could cause momentary confusion. Overall Experience: This detector inspires total confidence. The 10-year battery eliminates maintenance hassles, while the travel-friendly size ensures I never leave protection behind. It balances critical sensitivity with false-alarm prevention when positioned correctly. For homes and travel – especially with gas appliances or attached garages – it’s indispensable. Recommendation? Does exactly what it says. Bought Fire Angel as advised by our chimney sweep. We wanted one we didnt have to worry about batteries wearing out, so went with the 10 year battery. We were advised to position at head height in the room so have it just above the door architrave. Easy to install, it comes with wall plugs and screws and just sits onto the screws. Alternatively you could attach with a sticky pad (not included) It is very sturdy, doesn't feel cheap and knowing the brand is good, we now feel safer using our multi fuel burner with it in place. Now we need another one near our gas boiler which is inside a wardrobe in the main bedroom

What can I say, it works as far as I can tell. Only time and bad luck will tell the whole story.

The fixing screw holes are very small, the previous models had proper size, also the volume is not too loud ( hopefully just the test is this quiet)

Hopelijk nooit nodig te hebben maar apparaat voelt prima aan en makkelijk in gebruik. Je kan hem ophangen of neerzetten.

Compact. Clear instructions. Easy to install. Like any similar alarm, almost impossible to know whether it really works since it does not give a realtime measurement of CO concentration. But since I have not been affected by CO poisoning since installing it, I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
