ElecGear Auto Cooling Fan for PS4 Pro, External USB Cooler Automatic Temperature Sensor Controlled Radiator Heat Exhaust Works with PlayStation 4 Pro CUH-7xxx White

So.. I play video games hours at a time and after getting the PS4 Pro I obviously noticed how hot that thing heats up. Playing god of war or anything that is damn near the 4k threshold would have it burning up. I looked around and found this for my Glacier white PS4 Pro and wow! It keeps it much much cooler than before by assisting with better airflow. Things I liked: Color matched near perfectly. Fit the look and silhouette of the console and looks cool as shiii.. Now the thing I didnt like: I had read other reviews complaining that it was really loud almost like a "chattering" or a "vibrating" noise. Now to be clear.. at first it was quite and then as the game heated up the system, the fans got louder and louder. At first I thought the unit itself was vibrating against the ps4 and thought I'd add something to helpful the gaps. After messing with it then I noticed after pressing firmly on one of the fans it stopped. To me that just meant of of the fans was loose inside, no big deal. I unscrewed the cooling unit with a basic screwdriver and tuned out NONE of the fans were fastened at all. Very surprising. Now this was not a problem for the two larger fans because they fit in their spots very tightly and have zero wiggle room. The three small ones I secured down with some of the screws from when I had pulled it apart. Put it back together, Plugged it in and turned on the PS4.. good as new!!! Very very quite now. In fact, its quiter than the PS4's fan. Lol Now Idk if I got a one off but it was truly such a simple fix that took me like than 2-3 mins to fix. YES, I do agree the manufacturer should have done better quality assurance but regardless it would have done the job just louder than it should have been. Is it worth buying? YES. The color matched almost perfectly and today I played for hours and it kept the PS4 EXCEPTIONALLY cool. Order it as a true investment for your PS4! If its quite as can be, then perfect! If not, take 2-3 mins to make the simple adjustments as I did discribed and you'll love it. You won't regret it. Hope this helps! (

it came fast ,snaps on and off easily,well it doesn't really snap off easily. You do have to give it a few tugs here and there to take it off. Fans are some what quiet when they kick on ,but it does make your PS4 a heck of alot longer due to the extension of it as you can see in the pictures.

Worked fine for a bunch of months set on high the stock internal fan never came on when this was running. But one time when I turned on the PS4 the fan made a high screechy noise and it was because one of the fans was loose and wobbling around when spinning. Not a big deal until more started becoming loose from the added vibration. They're cheap so I just bought another.

Bought item to see if it would make a difference ,with heat from my ps4 pro console ,and was very surprised to see how quiet it was and it actually made big difference in keeping console cooler. Did heat test with heat gun and over 1 hour it kept console to 53degrees which is big difference from 60 61 before so would recommend highly along with changing thermal paste and thermal pads.

The top review for this item is very accurate. Have been an owner for several months now with regular use. The color is pretty slick and blends well with the glacier white PS4. The device snaps on the back using the 5v USB port for power. This works in a horizontal or vertical configuration. The settings high, low, and auto. If I’m gaming all day I’ll just leave it on high. Loud noise was soon causing a distraction. It’s loud and thought maybe cheap bearings. Someone else mentioned a vibration or rattle because the fans themselves are not secured inside the device. This is true. I added a thin piece of felt on one side to hold each fan. After several hours, the noise no longer exists or is minimal that you can’t hear with game volume turned up. Also, found there to be less noise when the PS4 lays horizontal. Temps? No readable out. Occasionally I’ll check the console and it seems cooler to the touch. The power supply area is warm and you can feel the air from the 5 outtake fans. With limited options to match the white PS4, I’d grudgingly buy again. Hope it can extend the life of my ps4!

My PS4 had been previously shutting down due to overheating. Using this fan completely fixed the issue. It is quite loud, although not as loud as the PS4 usually is, but it adds to the noise. I play with headphones so it personally doesn't affect me. It has an automatic setting that goes based on the temperature of the PS4 which is awesome, it stays on until the PS4 reaches the correct temperature.

Took this product out of the box. Plugged it in, put it on high and auto. Then turned on the PlayStation. Put my headphones on went to go start up my game and I start hearing a revving noise. Took the headset off and like clock work, no more than 3 minutes after turning my Playstation on, a loud few spins every 5 seconds of the fan before I even started playing a game. No where near 38 degrees. No where near quiet. No where as good of quality as I thought it was. On top of that I'm not comfortable keeping it on the back because it seems to constrict the flow of air while not in use. Doesn't even make a good paper weight with the cheap plastic. Gotta throw it away. Poor purchase. DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE

The only things that really work as advertised are the on switch, the auto-on mode, and the easy installation. Just about everything else is bad. It's louder than any console I've ever owned. We're talking "large/powerful tower computer with an un-optimized air system" loud. On top of being loud, I can't determine any actual change in temperature when comparing this fan to the playstation on its own. This is with both short play sessions and marathons. Installing is really simple and easy but removing the fan from the system is so clunky and is literally just by force. No latch or button or anything, you literally have to pull on it until the pieces that grip the playstation begin to bend far enough out of position so that you can remove the fan. It just makes me worry that every time I attach the fan, it's just another chance that I will scratch my system later on when removing it. There also isn't a usb port on the fan to replace the usb port that it requires for power. Normally I wouldn't complain about this because it was never advertised. But if you're gonna charge what they do and not provide a built-in usb slot like plenty of other console fans do (my xbox fan does) then the rest of the features better work. But they don't. So here I am complaining about this.

The fans didn't cool my ps4 and made it run hotter, the fans where also very loud which is very distracting... dont buy this ever
