Really hard to read some PH levels but these are good for quick estimates. I wouldn’t rely on this exclusively if PH testing is crucial for you. Quick rough PH estimates, works well. Accurate PH estimates, not great.

Easy test for pH. Old school works. Expensive electric pH testers need to be calibrated regularly. Who wants to do that? Tear off a piece, dunk, read, toss. Simple, fast, accurate and cheap.

A "good enough," budget-conscious choice for my introductory high school biology class, in which we test some common household substances and gauge very *approximate* changes of pH in culture tubes. NOT suitable if you need readings between whole pH numbers, as for many health applications or aquarium fine-tuning. These strips will tell you the difference between 7.0 and 8.0, but not 7.2 and 7.4. I tested these strips with household substances such as cow's milk, wine, and baking soda. Worked well enough. The strips themselves are fairly thick and sturdy, and so easily counted and sorted for students before lab; and easy for students to hold with fingers or forceps. These came in a matchbook format with four sets of 20 strips in each "matchbook." Three of those matchbooks fit into the little transparent, plastic snap-tight box, for a total of 4*20*3=270 strips. There was some mislabelling in the packaging that indicated a different number of strips. I do prefer the more obvious and accurate color matching I get when using the pHydrion Mikro brand tape rolls, especially in the roughly neutral area of the scale, but those are more expensive and require more time for me to snip into smaller pieces and count out for groups of students. The pHydrion strips are skinnier and thinner, so a bit harder to wrangle. Bottom line: these not-very-fancy, budget strips are good enough for an application that doesn't need much precision.

Don’t waste your money. I tested water, bleach, spit, and coke and it all came out the same color

It's a good strips but when you rely on something at specific time and it doesn't work it's disappointing. 1 pack doesn't work at all

Bought these to (roughly) test the acidity of our Home(stead)made Apple Cider Vinegar. They changed color immediately when dipped into both vinagers I tested, and the store bought vinegar test strip is in the expected PH range.

Received 3 packs of litmus papers. But there was no storage box delivered.
