We go through lots of this to make malted milk cookies. Very happy to be able to buy big containers. The first package arrived all broken and powder everywhere, but Amazon was amazing and sent us some that was packaged better. Would buy again.

Probably because my dad always took us out for ice-cream and liked malted milk shakes. Did you know that it was created as the original 'baby' formula by a man named Horlick. It didn't catch on here at first, but it did in England where it is still sold under the name Horlick's.

Love the product but the 43.72 oz. can I received this time on my Subscribe and Save order not so much.. It is enough taller so that it won't fit on my cupboard selves and I have to pour it into a different container. Not a major problem but still annoying.

I've always loved this product, but couldn't find anything, but those small containers so it's great to find this size. The texture and taste is good, just having a little trouble getting it to mix together with a spoon, blender works perfectly for it though.

Carnation Malted Milk gives you your money’s worth. There was a time when malted milk was more popular then I think some fast food places to save money began serving shakes. There is no comparison. There was a time not too long ago that “malts” were served and they were so delicious, with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry being the most common flavors, although some places had more delightful frozen concoctions. This comes in a 40-oz container and will last for a while. If purchased at a grocery store, the amount per jar is a lot less and the cost is a lot more than this. This is a product that kids will remember after just one taste. I like making smoothies with it. It’s very simple to do with a blender, a little milk, a little vanilla extract and ice cubes. To the mix you can add protein powder or a banana. I also add a little soy lecithin which acts as an emulsifier. This thickens it. You can experiment with the amount of milk and ice to achieve a frozen desert that tastes much richer than it is. The blender will make the ice cubes mix in very smoothly. If you want something sweet and cold, it’s so simple to make and the flavor is unbelievably good.
