This product is really good and does what’s needed to keep your carpets safe from tripping hazards. Easy to use and lots of it on the roll so should last for several uses. Very sticky on hands, but will come off .

I tried this double-sided carpet tape on a rug over laminate flooring and it works surprisingly well. I only used small patches in each corner and the rug stopped moving immediately, even in a busy area like the kitchen. The grip is strong without needing long strips, which is ideal because it reduces stress on the laminate and makes removal easier. It’s advertised as residue-free, and so far it lifts cleanly when tested, but I’d still recommend checking periodically if it stays down long term. Best part: you don’t need to tape the whole rug. Just a few short pieces per corner keep everything flat and prevent lifting. Simple, effective, and practical solution for rugs that slide — especially on laminate where you don’t want permanent adhesives.

Stickness depends on the surface it's applied to..it's like super strong glue on my carpet...not so much on the underside of my rug. So after a couple of hours .. rug moves off tape leaving, near to impossible to remove, strips of tape on my carpet...so in my experience, it's great sticky back tape ..but not really for rug to carpet applications.

It's been a little while now and this tape has kept the rug secure to the floor with thorough toddler testing.

I have tried so many different rug tapes/sticky pads/just about everything for my area rugs and nothing would keep them down. Bought this after struggling to keep anything in place with 3 cats and two German Shepherds running through the house. It's been a miracle - NOTHING moves. My roommate even used it to tape down her queen size bed that was being pushed around by the dogs and it has not budged since. I have used it on outdoor rugs on my porch and cement patio and it works wonders. It also comes off the hardwood floors easily and doesn't leave residue. The only downside is that it can be kind of hard to get the tape back off at first, but I got the hang of it after about half a rug's worth of effort.

Read reviews and purchased three rolls to adhere wood stairs treads (wool and sisal). The dogs and humans are racing up and down the stairs frequently and the runners have not moved. Tape easy to use and strong so ordered another roll to affix several wool area rugs to other rooms with wood flooring. The other box store tape had already separated from the rugs so they were moving in every direction. Highly recommend. Hope the tape lasts as long as I do.

I needed to adhere a small strip of carpet that is in a high traffic area of the home. The carpet previously came loose from the ordinary carpet tape used before this. Now, that carpet is so secure that I never worry about it coming loose again!

I love this stuff and recommend it to everyone. It works so well, it is just a little hard to cut because of how sticky it is- so use scissors you don't mind getting residue on. It seriously keeps rugs in place and works until you lift the rug off multiple times and it finally loses its stickiness, but if you don't mess with it it keeps edges and corners flat and in place. It is easy to apply and remove without damage to the rug or floor, you just have to clean the slight sticky residue left behind, which is typical.

Used four small 3” pieces to hold down our runner rug and that rug isn’t going anywhere! This roll will last a very long time. Works great, easy to cut.
