Really unique figure at a great price
A really unique figure at a price that can’t be beat! Transformation is simple and fun to flip back and forth, though the vehicle mode is pretty lackluster by design. But I think the robot mode makes up for it. I could see him being a good army builder for the price as well. Shipping was quick and packaging was good too, very happy with this guy.

Good toy for a good price
Really good figure but short. It only cost 20$ bucks and is very sturdy. The horns are made out of strange plastic but it doesn’t really bother me. It looks very cool and is really easy to poss with the leg joints. Pretty good figure and I recommend it.

Disdain Not Shared
Seeing as how Tarn-mould Bludgeon was such a massive disappointment, and I still wanted the visual gag of a figure holding their Power of the Primes counterpart, I took a risk, and sprang for Deluxe Skullgrin. Unlike the previous, the delight with them was almost-instantaneous. = Robot Mode: Yay: + Visually-striking, even in-box with the horns folded over their eyes. + The pink is closer to that colour than some of the other photos may have you believe. + They were able to go into 2 of the 3 poses Bludgeon could not. + I love the little tail on their turret part. + Gun-sword accessories can mount on many of their posts, allowing flexibility in their storage, and deployment. + The fact they're soft plastic meant putting them in-hand felt much better than rigid accessories do. Meh: ~ Some of the paint was a bit scratched in-box... ~ ...and the paint on the soft-plastic is almost-destined to scratch, but this adds a nice, rugged look that I think complements the design nicely. ~ The head's detent/area it snaps to is angled out-of-the box, but can be fixed by tilting the head up a bit, and moving it that way. Nay: - I wish more colour contrast was present, especially around the faction insignia, as that gets a bit lost. = Transformation: Yay: + I found it very fun and satisfying going both from robot to tank, and vice versa. + It does some unexpected things that make it rather unique, too. Meh: ~ Nothing to report Nay: - See above. = Alt Mode: Yay: + I very much think this to be more sensibly-designed in tank mode than Bludgeon/Tarn + It fits very nicely in-hand, being satisfying to hold to me. + The guns can go up quite a ways, and turret has full 360 degree motion. + All of this, from assembly, to guns can be popped off and mounted elsewhere. + While the instructions don't tell you to do this, I found you can visually-blend the back of the vehicle by deploying the tail. + Tank with tail. + 'Tabs exist for the supposed-to-be-side-mounted gun swords, so they can be aligned. Meh: ~ Going off the above, the instruction-designated way to transform it makes the back a bit janky-looking if you don't have the tail folded down. ~ While not as huge a bother to me as most who have reviewed this, the gaps one can see the head through are, indeed present. I think this adds to their rough charm, though. ~ No rolling wheels, which is not too huge an issue, as I've very much no space to roll them, but this would still have been a fun feature. Nay: - Nothing about this is negative to me. Simply put, I have 0 idea why so many were up in arms about this figure. I absolutely love it, thinking it can hold up against the most well-received of entries into my collection, and am very pleased to have them in said assortment. When this much love arises in a sea of negativity, I feel even more compelled to both state my experience, as well as encourage those who are wanting to give them a go to try them, as you, too, may have massive amounts of affection for them. (Note: photos show them holding the aforementioned Power of the Primes version; they do not come with it.)

Robot Mode Is Awesome...Vehicle Mode, Not So Much :/
I bought this figure already in the know from YT reviews that the robot mode is very, very good...the alt mode/vehicle mode is rubbish...but who cares about that...the bot figure is super detailed, posable, great colors & details...weapons are way excellent and also transformable. 5 Stars evens with the bad vehicle mode.

A must have figure for your collection.
This product is well-designed and versatile, and it complements my existing set of items. I appreciate its durability and simplicity, and I find it very satisfying to use.

Cool Robot, Terrible Vehicle, could have been a Seige release
I do like the character, he’s fun to accessorize/combine with weaponizers or whatever. He’s probably cool with the fossilizers too. The alt mode is pretty bad, iffy, fiddly, and explains the current price $10 under retail. The tank looks exactly like one of the nebulous space ship modes from Seige, looking at Soundwave!

Great Transformer
Great homage to the original 80s toy with the robot mode being a combination of the robot and pretender shell. The colors are spot on to the 80s toy as well.

This guy ...I wanted to like him ..and I do . But the transformation is awful. Things popping off because gummy plastic. The white on him will no doubt yellow over time . He isn't a fun figure to mess with .will look nice next to my other deluxes so if you are a collector go for it ..if you are planing buy for a child I'd recommend passing

Bellissimo a un ottimo pezzo, un must have per i collezionisti Transformers vista la scarsità di personaggi della saga Pretenders
