Not much to say about an item with one specific job except that it works as it is intended to. I have an old computer that does not accept USB, but because of the nature of what it contains, we keep it alive for reference to our old database (as a fail safe). The old mouse died and can't find a new one, so this little guy did the trick.

I was very let down by this product. I was under the wrong impression that this would allow my USB mouse and keyboard to be used with my computer's PS/2 ports. But I was informed only after my purchase that in order to work correctly with PS/2 ports, most USB devices require a USB to PS/2 CONVERTER , which looks quite similar to this item but is not the same thing as a simple USB to PS/2 CONNECTOR, which is what this item actually is. It is due to my own lack of knowledge that I didn't understand there to be a difference, but I'm learning that many other customers have suffered the same ignorance and would have been quite appreciative it the seller had made the distinction on this item's listing. It's not exactly fraud, but it's not exactly a desirable business practice either...

This was an experiment that didn't work for us.

I don't have a large sample size of mice I've tried it with. Was hoping to convert a "modern" mouse for use with my old KVM switch, but not to be with this particular one it seems. I hope the trackball I have coming will work with it, but we'll see.

I have used these for years. I built work stations and servers for 20 years and purchased computer adapters and other parts such as network cards, modems, vga cards made by StarTech and have not had a problem with any of them. I recieved my order and it was what I ordered and it came in on time.

Not sure if it is in the information, but not all USB keyboard will translate. I fortunately had one that did work with this adapter so I could finish my project. The PS/2 connector was slightly bent and would not fit at first, but it was easily fixed with pliers.

Requires these for a KVM switch. Worked as advertised. Just make sure you understand that these are color coded for mouse and different color for keyboard.
