Works but VERY dangerous
This is dangerous. The super short grip and small guard brings your holding hand way too close to the freshly sharpened blade. Also the narrow base allows the unit to twist as you pull back on the knife. Both factors increase the risk of a utility knife blade slipping a deeply cutting your hand.

Sharpen blade knifes over and over!
Saves money and extends the life of blades many times over. I work in a receiving department opening a lot of boxes. My blade knifes get dull fast. This little sharpener works great!
