Far superior to the KitchenAid C dough hook that came with a 25-30+ year old Professional 6. I was shocked at how much this improves the dough kneading experience. No dough up creep! I just finished a 1.4kg / 3lbs+ batch of pizza dough and the new dough hook was amazing compared to the original. See my video for some live kneading mixing on level 2 for the pro 6 / pro 600. The stainless steal quality seems to be very good and the smooth finish made the hook just pull clean from my dough when I was done. I have been making this pizza dough a lot and this is the first time I tried the mixer because I knew the old C hook was going to be more trouble than it was worth. I wasn't disappointed. You will spend a few bucks for this dough hook but in my opinion it is a good value for the money. It has a nice weight in the hand and seems that it will last a lifetime with it's durability.

This dough hook is really nice! On the original Kitchenaid dough hook, dough tends to climb the hook really quickly, forcing you to stop and scrape seemingly every 30 seconds or so depending on the size of your batch. With this dough hook, dough seems to go up the hook and then back down without climbing fully to the top unless you overfill it. I've made a couple of very large batches in my 4.5 qt mixer (I'm talking 9 cups of flour in my dough), and it definitely does climb when there's so much in the bowl. However, if you're not making a gigantic amount, you shouldn't have any problems. It's been great for pizza dough and hamburger buns, but a 2-loaf tend to give it trouble. Less so than the original though. The stainless steel makes it really easy to clean - you just pop it in the dishwasher on the top rack and it's ready to go. It also doesn't have any issues with chipping, like the enamel coating on the original did. Overall, I definitely recommend this dough hook if you make a lot of bread! It's been a huge upgrade to my mixer.

This thing is great! Solid stainless steel, kneads my dough well. Much better than the “C” hook that came with my Kitchenaid. I bake *a lot* of bread and this has helped up my game a bit! I hadn't used mine until after the return time window, to discover it would not stay attached. I had to hone out the attaching grove just a little bit so it would seat on the post properly. I'm a metal fabricator, this was a casting & QC issue, not a size issue. It didn't engage fully so it kept falling off if you so much as touch or bump it when putting ingredients in. Sometimes it just fell off on its own. Make sure it fits your KitcheAid Mixer 100% before you use it, and I'm sure you'll be fine. Other than that, it fit my KitchenAid Artisan KSM150PS very well. By that I mean that the spacing from the bowl edge to the dough hook was perfectly snug but not where it would ever bump or touch. I'm very happy with that. Close enough to grab dough for a clean mix. I say this becasue when I originally inquired as to whether the SH5 would fit, I was told no it would not and that I had to get the smaller one. (which would've been too small for my taste) This is not the case and other people have used this dough hook on the same model with success. So, there yuh go. That's my two pennies. I only gave it 4/5 stars becasue I had to refine the slot. Otherwise it would've been 5 stars.

Six stars! This thing is AMAZING! it is SOLID steel, it can double as a paperweight and probably for self defense too. A small 450g dough recipe at 70% hydration in my 4.5qt mixer kneads properly rather than just being pushed around or riding up the hook like the "official" one. I should have purchased this years ago! Absolute game changer for dough kneading performance.

Heute bekommen und direkt mal ausprobiert beim kneten von Hefeteig. Das Ergebnis ist wirklich so gut wie mit der Hand geknetet. Um Längen besser als mit dem Original Zubehör. Ich hatte bei Backprofis immer wieder Spiralhaken an den Küchenmaschinen gesehen und mich dann ärgern müssen, dass es für die KitchenAid Mini sowas eigentlich gar nicht als Zubehör gibt. Das habe ich von allen einschlägigen Händlern und auch vom Hersteller selbst gehört. Und jetzt finde ich das Teil bei Amazon. Massiver Edelstahl, das perfekt zur KitchenAid Mini 3,3 l passt. Sehr teuer, aber billiger als eine neue Küchenmaschine, die ich mir aus Verzweiflung über die recht mangelhaften bisherigen Knet-Ergebnisse insbesondere bei Hefeteig gekauft hätte. Top Empfehlung!
