Best label maker & brand
My favorite "toy" for work. I LOVE how versatile it is with label tape sizes & how easy it is to use. All its features make it worth the price & the print quality is on point. The backlight was my favorite feature. The wireless connectivity feature is an added plus. 10 out of 10

Excellent. Can't live without one. This one. Considered MANDATORY in a capable household.
IF you are an organizational fanatic, AND you want the most options from a labeler unit, including excel spreadsheet (or Google Sheets via "export" file) integration with the P-touch software allowing .csv data to be merged with page-layout fields in the P-touch software, then this unit is the one for you. I originally purchased one unit down. But for the value and extended capabilities of this unit, decided upon and kept the PT-DT460BT unit. I did purchase this unit so that I might be able to print via BT for whatever situation in the field, though most of my intended use is at home. I love/appreciate the large number of tape options for this unit. I am one of those people who likes to have all possible capabilityfor every situation - home or work - Mac or Windows - print via WiFi as needed etc. And this machine filled that bill in a way that I don't think you would ever regret not spending maybe $20 more on this unit to be able to help out a friend etc for their labeling situations in that event - if you're that kind of person. To note: - I work on a Mac with the P-Touch software. No problems. - I use Google Sheets to create the spreadsheets and save .csv files because I don't actively subscribe to Microsoft Office. - After having extensively used Microsoft Excel with a Brother P-touch connected Label Maker, I do feel that Excel is INHERENTLY more convenient for use because you don't have to save another file-version, and "re-link" to it after changes, each time you make changes, in the P-Touch software. The P-touch file is actively linked to the Excel file and if changes are made in the Excel file, the P-Touch situation is live-updated. With Google Docs, you have to save-off a new .csv file and re-link, possibly re-assign field-links. Ugh. It's just more laborious in a way I don't like. Overall summary: Excellent. Can't live without one. This one. I worked with a prior unit I purchased for an Office Management situation (hanging file labels etc) and it was priceless. So I cannot also be without one for home office/life management including cable lables, heavy-duty more-permanent breaker box labels (that you will be able to clearly read 10-20 yrs from now unlike my dad's hand-scribble on scotch-tape) in black on yellow etc. With the P-Touch software enabling the "page-layout" you are incontrol of exactly how you want to see everything. (I am a graphic designer, so organizational page layout is important to me. I want vertical fields available for yearly dates on file folder labels with black backgrounds, different font sizes for credit card companies and the card numbers, etc...). You have all that capability (within the label footprint that can fit) as you choose!

Chain Print to avoid tape waste
Choose chain print if you don't want to waste tape when printing multiple labels. I like the templates on the app. It made making labels for my electric panel easy. It takes some learning. But I'm glad I bought it.

This one is way better than the PTD610B
I first got the Brother 610, which was terrible. Way too big to hold, but annoying to type with when not holding. Controls laid out wrong etc etc This one is far better. A bit smaller, but it makes a world of difference when it comes to hand holding it, and the keys are laid out far better. Like, WAY WAY better. The 610 is really baffling in how many unforced errors it has compared to the 460. D-pad in wrong location, no dedicated format buttons, etc etc Print quality is just as good as the 610. No 1" tape with this model, but the 3/4th inch tape is as big as I ever need. This one appears to have all the font and frame settings of the 610. Lot of good features, but I wanna especially mention the font. Borther included a couple really classy ones. I'm hard to please for fonts, so I wanna call out their good taste in particular. My only complaints are: *The inputs are laggy. Really inexcusable for a system this basic in 2024 *More font sizes. Odd that they don't let you scale more than they do. *I wish there were a way to view preview the label by default. You choose a font and font size, but it types in the basic font on the screen until you hit preview. The preview looks fine, so why not let me simply type in preview mode? *There should be a shift key on the right size. Annoying that there isn't. *DPI could be higher. You can see the letters are a bit jagged on smaller font sizes, or when you make letter width thinner. But it looks totally fine unless you look real close Other than that, this is exactly what I wanted. Huge step up from only being able to label in in black text. Oh. And make sure to set label margins tight. It ships with them set to waste a lot of your tape unnecessarily. A coincidence— and not a strategy to sell more tape— I'm sure.

Perfect! Works well as advertised.
I’ve been using this for some projects around church and for organizing things around the house. It’s incredibly easy to use and very intuitive. There are plenty of options, and I’m sure we’ll get a lot of use out of it. It works great, the print quality is excellent, and the value for the money is very good. I haven’t needed to use the Bluetooth connectivity yet, but I’m sure we will down the line. All in all, a solid product and a really good choice!

Works Great! Can be used with iphone as the control. Write label on iphone and print it.
Im loving this Brother P-Touch label maker. I use it for labels for file folders, labeling of tool buckets, and other label needs. It makes very nice labels even when used with non Brother supplies which is GREAT! Price is reasonable. Can be operated from my iphone with an app which is awesome.
