Case works fine. Fits well

2026 update: 3 years old and with my gentle but frequent use it still looks as good as new. Original review 2023: It feels very premium, much better than the other pocketbook era cover that attaches to the edge. Wonderful to hold and I doubt I could find a better case.

Attractive case and fits well, and the sleep function is nice. However, this offers the device almost no protection at all. There is no shock absorption, and on the first drop despite hitting a soft surface, as it struck a corner the case cracked and so did my screen.

There aren’t any other case options for this device. It’s was a very expensive albeit well fitting case.. shipped from Germany.

Rather flimsy for me. I have dropped my ERA a few times, and the corners cracked and broke off - the ERA then slid out of the case and was damaged. Would like a lightweight, thin case like this but with more durable corners.

Heel fijn hoesje! Past perfect en beschermt de ereader goed. De ereader gaat niet automatisch aan/uit bij openen of dichtklappen. Maar misschien zit dat nog in de instelling ergens verstopt?

Protège très bien la tablette (qui elle n'est vraiment pas folle). Déverrouillage à l'ouverture c'est top, il manquerait juste une fonctionnalité pour faire support

Etui spełnia swoją rolę. Mocowanie wydaje się bardzo delikatne, obym nigdy tego nie zweryfikował. Tylko 4 gwiazdki za nieprzyjemny zapach etui, mam je od wczoraj i mam nadzieję, że w końcu się ulotni.

This shell case is essentially a thin, smelly piece of shaped plastic with a magnet inside. It works as advertised - the sleep function activates just fine, and the clamps offer some protection around the corners, but that's about it. The off-brand competitors offer much sturdier, thicker protective shells. The only reason to buy this particular case over them is because, at the time of writing this review, there is no alternative that also has corner clamps. Other cases out there either wrap over the flat front surface, protruding above it and thus defeating the point of the flush screen, or attach themselves to the back of the ereader with magnets, which is not a very secure design. And of course, there is another official Pocketbook cover that goes under the detachable section in the back of the ereader and doesn't protect the back against anything at all, so the less said about it, the better. This is a good option if you need a case that barely weighs anything and barely increases the thickness of the device, but I wouldn't trust it to keep my ereader safe from fall damage, nor does the shell itself look particularly impressive. No prints, no colours, no patterns - just plain black surface. And did I mention the weird chemical smell yet? It'll probably (hopefully) evaporate over time, but you gotta be ready for it. Good thing that Era itself looks so gorgeous in all its flush-screen glory, or I would've given it three stars only. How much greedier can you get, Pocketbook? Update: A week later, and the case still greets me with a waft of acrid, penetrating smell of cheap plastic whenever I pick up the ereader. Minus one star. Update 2: Served me about a year before a piece of plastic in one of the corners randomly broke off. Forty dollars, ladies and gentlemen. This might just be the most brittle cover I've ever owned in my 20 years of experience with various ereaders. Avoid.
