OMG, why did I wait to get this?
I have has a smaller electric unit (Westinghouse 2K), which I still love and will use a lot for smaller jobs. However I have a lot of hard surfaces on my property and, living in the Pacific NW with the rain, trees and shade means I also have a LOT of moss and other organic buildup to deal with. I have done a lot of research. I've purchased other pressure washers. I finally decided to make the investment in a commercial grade machine because I wasn't getting the results I wanted in any reasonable amount of time and my electric simply doesn't drive a surface cleaner. Manually wanding my driveway was taking days with the electric and that was just focusing on the most important areas. So, with some advice of a trusted friend who owns a rental company, I decided to take the plunge on something with enough pressure (4k PSI) and GPM (3.5 or more) to make a meaningful impact. All I can say is: Wow! In the first 3.5 hours of use, coupled with the Mekoh 18" surface cleaner, I was able to clean 3 times the amount of moss-coated (thick in many spots) surface compared to the surface cleaned in 3+ days manually wanding. I also have a sports court which needs love and will be my next tackle. The obvious concern I've had is not stripping off the paint, but still getting the surface clean. So I wanted something I could "back down". While the pump on the 4240 has a regulator, I actually purchased the Simpson pressure regulator and it seems to work quite well. I suppose I could use the pump regulator in tandem with the extra in-line Simpson regulator to really dial it in, but I'd prefer not to muck about with the pumps factory settings. To address some of the concerns I've seen in other reviews: the unit arrived in excellent condition obviously all new and delivered on time. The modest assembly of the draw bar and wand and hose caddy was a matter of two minutes, easy peasy. The Honda engine instructions and the Simpson quick start guide were easy to follow in terms of adding the oil, fuel and then start up. Start up was just as straightforwardas the manual said, and, as long as I was following those instructions [ahem], it started on the first pull every time. I did make a note that others had said it's helpful to pull the trigger when starting and so I did that (but not always, and even when I didn't, and I had the switches and throttles in the right position, it still started on the first pull). While I have only used it for a short time, there was absolutely no evidence of oil leaking or any of the other mechanical issues mentioned. If this changes over time, I'll come back and edit this review. Everything about the pressure washer is commercial/contractor grade. The Monster hose is just that - it seems like it will withstand anything but does take extra effort to maneuver. In all, the unit does require strength and some stamina to operate (because it's so strong) and you'll need a ramp or some help to get it into the back of a pickup. But if you compare it's effectiveness and the substantial reduction of time, I'd say overall that it takes much less effort to get amazing results than less powerful models. Bottom line: if you're tired of putting up with lesser units, and have the budget for this fantastic monster, I highly recommend it.

Highly Recommended Pressure Washer- Great Performance
I would highly recommend this Simpson Pressure Washer as it started on the first pull and runs like a champ. Super simple and only takes about 10 minutes to setup for the first time use. Well built and Great pressure for plenty of cleaning power!

Great product plagued by poor packaging and shipping.
This is a great product. I read all the negative reviews and decided they came down to shipping damage in some cases and misuse in others. So I expected shipping damage and that's what I got, plus a missing hitch pin clip caused a wheel to come off. I knew Amazon would take care of it and they did, but I had to install the replacement parts myself. This is a serious and very powerful pressure washer so if you didn't know how to change out simple mechanical parts you might not really want this size of pressure washer either. Now as.to why they arrive damaged... Poor packaging by the manufacturer and absolutely no arrows on the box indicating right side up. The box was on its side in the Amazon truck and then the guys dropped it on my garage floor upside down. So the muffler heat shield was bent. Otherwise it works fine and I like it but it's overkill for my use around the house and car washing. The one annoying thing is that it absolutely will not start unless you are pulling the trigger on the spray wand while also pulling the starter cord. Otherwise the pump pressure builds up so fast that the engine can never get going. I think that's some sort of design flaw.

Simpson 3500 PSI Gas Pressure Washer is UNREAL
I spent a long time researching pressure washers before buying this Simpson PowerShot, and so far I’m very impressed. The Honda GX200 engine starts easily, runs strong, and gives the machine a genuinely commercial-grade feel. It has more than enough power for driveways, siding, fences, patio cleaning, and heavy grime removal. What really stands out is the build quality. The frame feels solid, the tires roll well over rough ground, and the hose and fittings seem much better than the cheaper big-box-store units I’ve used before. It definitely feels like a machine designed to last if you maintain it properly. Cleaning performance is excellent. The combination of 3500 PSI and 2.5 GPM hits a really nice sweet spot for homeowners who want serious cleaning power without stepping into extremely expensive professional rigs. Driveways and concrete clean up fast, especially with a surface cleaner attachment. A few minor downsides: * It is heavier and louder than entry-level machines. * The included hose is decent, but some users may eventually want a longer or more flexible upgrade. * Like many Simpson units, it vibrates a bit at idle, though that seems normal for these larger single-cylinder engines. Overall, I think this is an outstanding value if you want something significantly better than a basic homeowner pressure washer without jumping into full contractor pricing. Feels powerful, dependable, and built to work. Would absolutely buy again. The PS61002-S is widely marketed as a “professional-grade” or heavy-duty homeowner unit with a Honda GX200 engine and 3500 PSI / 2.5 GPM output. ([old.simpsoncleaning.com][1])

Great pressure washer!
I moved up from a 2500psi 2gpm pressure washer. Wow, it's great to have the added power both psi and flow! This is definitely a little bigger to handle - heavier to get down and up the hill to my backyard, and it would be difficult for one person to pickup and put in the back of an SUV without help or some kind of ramp. Once you have this power, there's no going back though. It just gets the job done so fast. I was so sore after using the other unit- it took forever. This one just gets it done and I am not sore the next day. I also found that this stores easier than the dimensions make it appear. It fit right where my smaller one did, and if I remove the main handle and hang it on the wall, it takes up even less space. Recommended.

A Brute of a Pressure Washer
This pressure washer is a brute. It's my 3rd machine and so far it's the best I've had. Tons of power, easy to start, simple to assemble.

You won’t be disappointed!
This machine is outstanding! Run strong and will take off anything you want to pressure wash! Impressive to say the least! Far better than a smaller residential version and for only twice the price!

Handle was a struggle installing…
Quality looks good and arrived basically undamaged. The pump fitting hit the end of the box and smashed the protective cap in and broke the end disk of the cap off. The thread seem ok, but haven’t started it yet to confirm. The handle was challenging pushing on both sides because it was quite aligned correctly when either the handle or frame was bent during manufacturing. I had to loosen all 4 of the screws on the handle cover plate to allow extra flex to align the two tubes. I had to put a 2x4 across the two handles and hammer the handle down to get the handle to cradle screw holes to “almost” align. I ended up needing to drive a round large screw driver through the holes to brooch them to get the connector bolts through both sides. Maybe the frame got bent in shipping? I bought the Amazon suggested extension hose the pushed on the screen, but it was a 3/8” fitting and wrong size. Sending it back. I wish more care was spent showing only applicable accessories for additional purchases and not everything that simply says power washer on the box. Description no where did I see if this was a M22 14mm or 15. It is a 14. Will expand my review as I get her up and running.
