I have placed this over two active tunnels, when the mole goes by the trap flips up, 3x now. What am i doing wrong?

They work great. If you have really hard soil or grass, you should loosen up the path of the traps jaws. Making an indentation for the very sensitive yellow trigger is important. It only takes a light nudge of dirt from the mole to set it off. They are very lethal. If you soil or grass is too loose, try using a few “J” shaped metal irrigation stakes to hold it down. If it is set correctly, the lightest tough will set it off. If the mole is pushing the trap up and out, you may have set the trap in the wrong direction. Try turning it 90° so the jaws straddle the tunnel or the hole.

Is this product peta approved?

If it was Peta approved I would throw it in the trash today. Luckily it slaughters moles very efficiently. I've set it twice and have two dead moles to show for it.

Be sure not to cover the slot on the foot pedal while setting the trap or it will not set. Sometimes if the trap will not set the 1/2" heel indentation may be too shallow. If after several attempts you are not able to set the trap, move the trap to a new active tunnel and repeat steps 2 & 3 of setting the trap.
