Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery Pack & Charger

I have 8 battery operated blinds. Each one takes 8 batteries per wand. You can imagine the ordeal and cost of replacing 64 expensive AA batteries. I've used alkaline and lithium, both have short lifespans. In addition, with the old battery wands, you must disconnect the wand to change out batteries and that sometimes erases programming, which is not so easy to restore. With this setup you can charge the battery pack without disconnecting. As the original batteries die, I'm replacing the with the Somfy Lithium Ion Battery Pack. I'm on my 3rd one and so far so good. I figure the packs will pay for themselves after only 2-3 changes. And you really only need one charger. BTW, although it says the charger has a 6' cord, the one I got is more like 12', so you don't need to buy the optional extension.

The order was filled quickly and seemed to be constructed of quality materials. The included charger charged the battery quickly and fully. However, the problem was that the output connector from battery was a female connection, as is the input connection for the roller shade. Before you order this, be certain you can somehow connect the two female connection. Sadly, I had to return these items, as I got no response from the vendor as to a solution.

Easy to install

returned product because the connection would not work on Bali cellular blinds. Contacted Somfy and told them Bali told me my blind motors and my remote controls were made by Somfy. Somfy told me even though Somfy was on the product, they were not made by them. I have a problem believing that.

Have a Somfy shade that just sucks up batteries and decided to give this a shot. Worked great, and an easy install. As my other Somfy shades' batteries die, I'll be replacing them with these also. At the current price of Lithium AAs, they will pay for themselves in no more than 18 months.

It is the same brand and looks just like the one that came with our 6-month old Bali motorized pleated shade (the original one has batteries that must be replaced frequently). However, when it arrived I learned that the connector is not correct and cannot be attach to the existing blind. Before I ordered this, I called Bali customer service and they will not sell us the rechargeable version as they do not conduct business with the public. I am not happy that paying more than $1500 for a single blind has resulted in so much aggravation.
