I can’t draw a stick person but the detailed steps in this book make me want to attempt drawing. Great gift! Very cool!
Really great book for the artist in your life! Bought for our 7 year old. It is a little advanced for her but not so much she feels defeated or gets frustrated when learning from it. There are 7 chapters focusing on different face structures (ie: nose, mouth, hair, etc.). The beginning helps educate on supplies that is ideal for drawing and how to draw with the right amount of force. Really enjoyed this book!
I feel like this was a really good book for me. There are a lot of art books that are more about general guidance while showcasing beautiful works of art or other books that are step-by-step for overly simplistic doodles, but this had a great amount of step-by-step to get me from not really knowing how to draw many features of a face, to being a lot more comfortable with drawing them. The intro talks about using pencils and physical medium, but really most of the steps can easily be adopted for use with digital. I was using procreate on my iPad for practicing in the book. Even though there are some limitations and differences with going digital, the book helped me build a lot more confidence with portraits.

Self Guided, User Friendly
We got this for my ten year old son as a gift and he loves it. It's amazing how quickly his drawing skills have improved using it. The lessons are self guided and he's able to follow them without assistance.

Great book for learning to draw.
The delivery of this book was well packaged. I purchased this book as I wanted to learn more about how to draw portraits. I find the book very good at explaining how to start and it covers all parts of the head/ face , eyes,nose and mouth. It even has practice pages at the back of the book. I am really impressed with this, I would definitely recommend buying it, if you want to learn to draw.
