Mounting an optic on a semi-automatic handgun can be a challenge. There is no recognized standard that the firearms industry does not have an optic mounting standard. Many gun-owners resort to mounting optics with gaps between the optics base and the slide. Others grind away at the lugs on the slide. Neither of those options are optimal, or even functional in some cases. The solution is to find an adapter plate that joins your optic to your firearm. In the case of the S&W M&P Shield Plus and the Holosun HS407K red dot optic, this adapter plate fits PERFECTLY! The plate is beautifully machined and finished. It comes with two pairs of screws, that already have thread-lock applied, and a wrench to tighten the screws. The price of the DPP adapter plate is about half of what other plate manufacturers charge. It took me less than five minutes to mount the optic with the DPP adapter plate.

This comes with everything you need. No need to search for the right screws or tools. It comes with 4 6/32 screws that already have lock tight on them as well as a star elbow tool that fits them. The plate fit perfectly to my Shield Plus and Holosun 407k. It was also very easy to install. This is a good product that is about half the price of competitors. Very happy with this product.

Excellent build quality and screws etc, worked great on my shield Plus to adapt it for a viridian Green Dot sight. Often you need this for optics depending on the gun and slide and how it's cut and this was every bit as nice as one from say armory craft or other popular websites and hasn't come loose whatsoever so far in 6 months since I bought it. Works great definitely would buy another one should I ever need one

worked fine, but had to switch screws and use another set. also, could have led with better installation instructions.

This is the cheapest option out there. It gets the job done just fine, so there's no sense in paying more than you have to. I even selected the aluminum option, but was sent the titanium version lol. I suggest the same, even if you are sent the aluminum option, it won't matter what metal is used.

I bought a plate from a made in USA company. It fit, but offered no support other than the two screws. I contacted their customer support. They advised forward lugs were not possible with the Smith & Wesson M&P Shield Plus and the Holosun 407K. This plate fit perfect. Offers forward lugs and the mounting screws for support. I'll add that it was almost 1/2 the price. Far less shipping time. I got it next day. I think the mounting screws are better quality. I thought I stripped the threads on my slide with the other plate. It was just a faulty screw.

I was able to attach a Holosun EPS Carry red dot to my Smith and Wesson Shield Plus and zero it with no difficulty. You will need to use this plate instead of the adapter plate that Holosun provides because if you use the Holosun adapter plate you won't be able to zero properly on a Shield Plus due to the sloped optics cut.
