I had the Jet which I really liked actually, despite the bad reviews. I have a Camvac 90L high pressure system and finally got the nanomax filter upgrades for the motors. Not having a three stage filter system on the machine anymore, I needed something better at stopping the fine dust from reaching the extractor itself. I didn’t want to go cheap and Oneida has a good name and are known for quality products. After putting it through its paces for a couple months and opening the Camvac, I was very pleasantly surprised at the amount of fine dust getting through. It was next to nothing. I have helical blades in the planer and jointer and I was doing a lot of dados on the router table, all of which creates fine dust. I’m extremely happy with the build quality, there’s no fear of the high pressure collapsing the unit. Beyond that, the performance is actually better than my expectations. I reworked my entire ducting system and location of the extractor and cyclone, so I’m very glad that all the work was worth it. It would’ve been a shame to do all that and get the same results as the jet. I wasn’t overly concerned with loss of suction due to it being a larger unit than the Jet, but any worry I did have wasn’t warranted. I’m sure it has more to do with the high pressure system, regular collectors I know suffer more

There are a lot of lower priced cyclones out there and you can even make your own very efficient Thien Baffle, but at the end of the day when it comes to performance, the Oneida products are simply at the top. This cyclone has been paired as a first stage with a reinforced 20Gal Brute garbage can as a chip-catcher and a powerful 4HP 3 motor Camvac extractor. It does an amazing job of separating chips with very low loss in velocity and pressure.

Excellent! I modified a Harbor Freight dust collector into a 2-stage system and this cyclone attachment worked perfectly. There's not much to installing it. I now have a shop that is dust-free.

I wasn't confident this would actually work as I hoped, but it turned out to be a significant improvement for my ShopFox 1 HP machine. I added the Super Dust Deputy in line ahead of the suction connection of the ShopFox, and also converted the bag filter on the existing machine to a pleated filter that Grizzly offers. It's a direct replacement. My concern was that the cyclone would create more resistance in the suction, which it does, but the pleated filter more than offsets that with its significantly lower resistance than the OEM filter bag. Net result is that the system works WAY better than before, and it's no longer subject to clogs due to larger chips from the jointer and planer. The collector could not handle the planer discharge at all prior to the modifications, now it's no problem and I have far less dust and dirt in the shop. Very pleased with the outcome and performance for a just 1 HP machine. The cyclone is well worth it!
