Great, clear image with long eye relief (8x42 version)
These are excellent, especially if you wear glasses. I did a lot of research between these and the Vortex, and am happy I went in this direction because of the long eye relief. Much easier to see through than my Celestron Nature DX (no black circle FOV). If you are waffling on your next purchase and you're in the ~$200 price range, these are the ones you want. Bright, clear, and great for people with glasses.

Best whale watching binoculars
Best binoculars I have ever used. Took them to Maui for whale watching and was blown away by the resolution and width of the viewing area. There were several other sets of binoculars that our family had brought, these were by far the best!

Good Choice for Bird Watching
I Read several reviews online saying these P7 Prostaff binoculars were a top entry level pair for bird watching. I don't know a lot about binoculars but these fit my eyes well. I am able to get a very sharp focus on almost any object from 20 ft to 200 ft away. It has eye cup and lens cover caps and a very nice soft case. I'm an amateur bird watcher but I'm very impressed with this binocular. It seems very high quality at a reasonable cost.

Very nice product
Very nice. Light. Good quality. I like the the oculars click stop option, for with/without glasses. Nice and comfortable.

Good value for the money. Great optics.
Pros: 1. Great Nikon optics 2. Very comfortable to hold 3. Eyecups "screw" in/out to adjust - neat feature - and very comfortable 4. Lightweight 5. Diopter is "lockable" which is a nice feature 6. Adequate strap and case are included 7. Water and oil repellant 8. Great value for the money imo Cons: 1. Sad that Nikon, a Japanese optical company, has binoculars made in China. 2. Right diopter is VERY difficult to unlock and adjust. Nice feature if only one person uses them, but if shared with others, kind of a pain to unlock/relock and adjust for each person.

Crystal-Clear View of Wildlife if Packing Weight isn't an Issue.
This was my first pair of binoculars for my first safari. I bought the P7 8x42mm model because I read it offered a brighter, more detailed view—especially in low light—compared to the compact P7 8x30mm. I ended up doing most safaris during clear early mornings or late afternoons and wished I had chosen the smaller, lighter 8x30 model for comfort (it’s about ¼ pound lighter). For reference, I’m female, 5’4”, 140 lbs. That said, the clarity and detail of the 8x42 binoculars are absolutely superb! I could see every detail on the animals from afar—their eyelashes and skin texture—as if I were right next to them. If weight isn’t a major concern for packing, these binoculars are fantastic!

Worth the money
I have an older pair of binoculars and somehow thought they were all the same until I looked through my daughter-in-law's and it was like "wow"! I knew I needed them in my life so I ordered these and I'm very happy and impressed with them. I don't believe you'll be disappointed. They were packaged well and have lens covers and a nice case. We have a lot of wildlife in our woods and refuges with bird migrations nearby. I'm going to take them mushroom hunting to see how that works. I'm happy I took the chance on these.

Largely agree w other reviews .. ie BKE / Dave / BC Mike ... - eye-piece covers are flimsy, cheesy, loose .. and ya, the carry strap is a little under-whelming ... other than that, so far very impressed / happy with purchase .. P7 Prostaff is ; compact, lite-weight, good grippy's, smooth adjustments, comfy to hold, and yes, crisp clean images !! Getting fantastic close-up views of white-tailed deer and nesting barred owls, in my neck of the woods :)

Expectativas cumplidas. Son más ligeros de lo que pensaba y la visualización de aves, que es para lo que los he adquirido, es fantástica. En movimiento el enfoque es fantástico. Muy contenta.

The old Nikon Prostaff P7S (with an "S") have became the classic hunting binoculars. Hunting is not birding. If you are serious stalking, you will beat your binoculars. That is why nobody carries Swarovski Habicht for hunting, because chances are that you will break them while hunting. That is why you want medium priced binoculars. That is why I purchased these new Nikon Prostaff P7 (without "S"). I am impressed by their luminosity at the beginning and at end of the day. In size, weight and appearance, they are very much the same as the equivalent modern roof binoculars that you can find in the market nowadays, thus I am using an original rigid EVA case from a highly respected German brand for these Nikon Prostaff P7 8x42 binoculars and they fit like a glove. Of course, the optical quality of these binoculars is not the same level as the Nikon Monarch series or the German brands, but they costs less than half of the price too. In my opinion, the quality is enough to go hunting with them.
