Great for retaining moisture in pots and baskets. Works well. The grains swell to much more than their original size holding water for when the plants need it.

Used to use these years ago and now gone back after last year of a hose pipe ban, they are a must in summer flower pots and hold the water well so less watering

Compost retains moisture after watering so there's no doubt that this stuff works. It's the texture that I'm not keen on. The granules swell up many times their size leaving a gelatinous mush in the soil. Not for me.
