Amazing stuff,it swells to over twice the size when you add it to water. A good product for retaining water moisture in compost . Ideal for my hanging baskets and window troughs when it’s very dry weather . I find mixing it in the compost after I have mixed it with water first . Made filling baskets with already moist compost easier then it was before . Plants all seem to be doing nicely with it so far .

works well in my flower pots to stop them dying out completely .

Used to use these years ago and now gone back after last year of a hose pipe ban, they are a must in summer flower pots and hold the water well so less watering

This was the first time I have used the gel in a hanging basket and loaded the container with plants as normal which I thought looked pretty good. However, I did not expect the gel to expand quite as much as it has - the basked it now bulging at the edges - I should have thought about the consequences and left some space! I am, of course, older and wiser now.
