Martin Furniture Contemporary 2 Drawer File Cabinet, Fully Assembled

This is a very sturdy, well built product. My husband appreciated the fact that it came fully assembled. Lovely oak finish that matches my bedroom/office decor. A little pricey, but well worth the money.

The top of the cabinet is large enough and sturdy enough to hold our computer printer and a few books. It is for hanging folders only and not the more common 11 1/2 by 9 1/2 manila folders. Very heavy and takes two people to handle. It was packaged very well and no shipping damage. Flawless finish.

This product came in completely broken one side, the drawers were broke, would not slide into the cabinet itself. I looked on the side of the drawers. Both drawers were cracked all the way down and one the face was coming off. I would not tell anybody to buy this product, considering what it came in as it was poorly assembled, and poorly made. The delivery team was wonderful. They couldn’t have done enough for me. I called Amazon immediately and they were wonderful. They said that they would pick up the cabinet on Friday …. what a disaster.

I was expecting this filing cabinet to be made of solid oak like my Martin Contemporary desk that I purchased 20 years ago. That was not the case. It is laminated wood, and although the 'style' is the same, it is not a great match. It looks laminated and cheap for the price. Also, one of the cabinets was dropped at some point, and the back corner is severely cracked. Because it weighs so much, I can't really figure out how I would return it.I wish I had known they weren't solid oak. I don't think I would have paid this much. Next time I would order 1 and check it out to see if it's a match before I would order 2.

It is well made but I feel that it is over priced.

This file cabinet is identical to one we purchased year ago from Martin Furniture made with real Oak. It also matches our credenza from Martin Furniture used for our audio and video electronics.It is an attractive file cabinet.This file cabinet has laminated interior panels on the draws, which are better for our application.We use it for a 'coffee station' with the addition of a glass top so coffee spills will not damage the oak.Draws are used to store coffee pods and tea. The laminated surfaces are easier to clean.

Great, solid lateral file cabinet. Goes perfect with my other oak furniture. The guides slide easily. Just wish the groove to put your hand was in the middle instead of the sides. I have to use 2 hands most of the time to open the drawers. Price tends to be much less here as well.

Great construction, well made. Cedar lined, smooth opening and closing. Definitely would buy more items from this company.
