Bold and vintage style watch, highly recommended
This is such a cool piece, eye-catching with a beautiful emerald dial paired with gold indices and set off nicely with a vibrant orange second hand. These colors, paired with the square case give it a groovy late 60s-early 70s retro vibe which I really dig. Overall, the watch is large and weighty, probably too much so for wrists less than 7 1/4 inch in circumference. The size gives it a bold and masculine presence, reminiscent of the muscle cars of that generation. The bracelet is comfortable enough and the links easy to remove. The drawbacks being hollow end links and pressed clasp with only two micro adjustments. I believe I will change it out for a vintage style brown leather band that suits it a little better. There is no hacking or manual winding feature with this older movement, however I expect the same level of accuracy and reliability Seiko is famous for. Some don't like day/date features, but I find them handy at a glance and it keeps with what you'd find in watches of this era. Cool touch to include Spanish options for the day names as well. Overall this seems like a good affordable option to add a Seiko to your lineup, it's my first one and I'm impressed. Despite some of the drawbacks (size, limited movement options, and a sufficient but somewhat lacking bracelet) this will be getting a lot of wrist time from me. If you're interested in a bold piece with a funky retro look I recommend it.

Clean, Sharp, Stylish.
This is my first Seiko watch. I've always been a Bulova guy, when it comes to affordable, yet stylish and dependable watches. That being said, this watch is dope! The look is clean and cool and has that 1960's style. I mean, green and gold, together at last! Am I right? I feel like a cast member on "Med Men" when I wear this watch. Got myself in trouble at work when I smacked my colleague on the ass and said, "Why don't you run along, baby, and go make me an Old Fashioned." Dude was not amused. I can't speak to the accuracy just yet, but I unboxed it, set it, wore it a few mins before bed, and in the morning it was still running and accurate. So, already it's a step ahead of some automatic watches I've owned. May try and come back and add an update for the accuracy. I also cannot speak to it's water resistance. I don't go swimming. I'm chubby and hairy and kids stare. But then again, I mean, it's not exactly a corset. Know what I mean? Watches are pretty easy to take off and on. Just take the damned thing off, you weirdo. Also, anyone else ever notice how horrible your hand/arm looks in photos? It's off-putting, really. The band is sufficient. The watch wears well on small and large wrists alike. I have an 8.6in wrist and I didn't have to remove any links. It fit perfectly. If you have a larger wrist that 8.6in, you may wanna request an extra link or two. If you're on the fence, go ahead and buy it. For the price point, it's virtually impossible to imagine someone being mad about it. It's a pretty big value! It's neat, clean, shiny, and stylish. It has a beautiful dark green dial that is actually sunburst when viewed in bright or sunlight. The gold trim on dark green probably shouldn't work, but it somehow does. It's easy to read and the seconds hand has a nice, continuous sweep, instead of a tick. It's just very good. Don't be a nerd. Buy it.

A Stunning Retro-Modern Timepiece with Incredible Value!
As a long-time watch enthusiast, I'm always on the lookout for unique pieces that offer both style and substance without breaking the bank. The Seiko Recraft Automatic SNKP23 has absolutely delivered on all fronts and quickly become a favorite in my collection. From the moment I unboxed it, I was captivated by its design. The rectangular stainless steel case and integrated bracelet give it a wonderfully retro vibe, reminiscent of classic watches from the '60s and '70s, but with a thoroughly modern execution. The vibrant blue dial is truly the star of the show – the sunburst effect catches the light beautifully, and those faceted hour markers add a depth and visual interest that you just don't see on many watches in this price range. It looks far more expensive than it is! Underneath that stunning dial is Seiko's reliable automatic movement (7S26). It's a workhorse movement, and while it's not a chronometer, it keeps good time for daily wear. I love the convenience of an automatic; no batteries to worry about! The day/date complication at 3 o'clock is also very practical for everyday use. The build quality is exactly what you'd expect from Seiko: solid. The stainless steel bracelet is comfortable on the wrist and feels substantial. The Hardlex crystal offers good scratch resistance for daily knocks. I also appreciate the exhibition caseback – it's a nice touch to be able to see the mechanical heart of the watch. Whether I'm dressing up for a meeting or just going casual, this watch always gets noticed. It's a fantastic conversation starter and pairs surprisingly well with a variety of outfits. If you're looking for something beyond the typical round watch, and you appreciate unique designs with a touch of vintage flair, you absolutely cannot go wrong with the Seiko Recraft SNKP23. It's a fantastic blend of style, heritage, and Seiko's renowned reliability. Highly recommended!

Something funky and fun for an affordable watch collection
This watch won’t be for everyone. I suspect most people will likely either love it or hate it. I happen to love it. I was looking for something a little funky and fun to add to my small, affordable, automatic watch collection. This was perfect! So many good reviews and YouTube videos have been done on this watch so here are just a few of my observations. Many mention this as being a large watch and wearing larger than its dimensions. True. That said, if you regularly wear a diver, then this watch won’t seem that big at all. At only 39.5mm wide, 12mm thick, and 45.5mm lug to lug, it’s actually quite squat and smaller and lighter in all respects than any diver I have ever owned. It’s smaller and lighter than a Mako 2 and an SKX. And yet, the odd shape of it, the flashiness, and the large face makes it look much bigger than it actually is, while still feeling lighter than any diver I own. It feels and looks great on my 7 inch wrist. I typically don’t like watches over 41mm in diameter and over 11-12mm thick. I realize I may have slightly contradicted myself explaining the size. That’s the nature of this watch. It’s a bit of a conundrum. All in all, I find it to wear smaller than most reviews mention. No lume and it is not hackable or hand wind able. These aren’t major issues for me at or below the $130 mark. I wouldn’t pay more and of course would prefer it had these features left out of this reliable, robust, and very spartan movement. Some sell this watch for over $200. Silliness. Bracelets? Can’t stand them. Some people love them. I removed it immediately for a leather strap. It’s more casual and quirky with a brown leather strap and that shiny blue dial. Black bands look nice too as the outer edges of the dial appear more black than blue in most light. The bracelet is pretty decent for the price and adds to the 70’s vibe, just way too heavy for my taste and reminds me of something an eastern block mobster would wear. ;) Accuracy? As expected from the basic movement. It takes seconds to set it. A few shakes and off it goes. Automatic watches are best left for those who want to interact with their time pieces. So is this a dress watch or a casual watch? Again, it’s a conundrum. IMHO it is a nice daily wear, office casual/business casual watch, especially with a leather band. The green dialed version IMHO is the dressier version with the gold accents. I would have purchased the green version but for all that gold. I’m not a yellow gold fan. So, it is not a wear with shorts watch or wear with tux watch. It for sure isn’t a sport watch with only 50m of water resistance, push pull crown, squarish Hardlex crystal, and quirky design. Anything in between works. I’m a MS teacher at an independent school and find myself in khakis and a dress shirt or polo shirt most work days. A perfect fit! If you want something fun, quirky, modern-retro, and out of the box thinking, then this box shaped watch may be for you. Edit: After a few days of wearing this watch, I still enjoy it very much. I changed the strap to a black leather strap and think the watch looks even better as the black in the dial matches perfectly. The black strap does make it look a little dressier for what it’s worth. I also wanted to add that this watch is very shiny. The chrome indices on the dial and the metal around the face of the dial catch light like crazy. This watch is an attention grabber and not an understated watch. I tend to like understated and simple watches and thus is not that. Still, it’s fun and I’ll keep it when I want something a bit more exciting. I added a few pics of the black strap.

Best value for buck automatic
This watch is SO sweet. Looks vintage and super clean. Its a Seiko with automatic movement and its affordable. Keeps perfect time if you wear it often. Looks WAY better in person than in photos. A bit heavy, but I like to be reminded im wearing it. No luminous hands but gold hands and orange second hand look perfect

Seiko Recraft
Excellent retro looking watch! The emerald green watch dial is what got my attention and it really stands out! Case and bracelet feel sturdy. I feel the price was decent for a mechanical, automatic watch. Transaction was smooth. Shipping was on time and watch was well packaged.

Loses or gains too many minutes daily
I had written the paragraph below and gave it four stars. Since, my watch gains two minutes a day and I have to reset it twice daily to have accurate time to catch a bus or train. Looks great, but is inaccurate and requires too much upkeep. So, I'm returning it. This isn't a watch for those who want a watch movement that will do its thing without frequent fiddling. This has a movement that winds itself by way of your arm movement. I returned the first one because it was losing time. Before I returned it, I wrote to Seiko asking if the issue can be fixed. No reply until days after I made the return. Seiko's tardy email included instructions, with a rough diagram on how to hold the watch while I moved my arm for 15 minutes to wind it. By the time I received the email, I already requested a replacement because I loved the watch's look. I did not wave my arm for 15 minutes. Yet the replacement runs fast, about a minute a day. So every couple days I have to synch it manually with my phone's clock. And the calendar has to be fixed monthly, I believe, although I haven't had it for a month yet. If you want a handsome watch and don't mind fussing with it every few days, then the Recraft is a good choice. If you want to set it and forget it, get something else.

Retro timepiece
It’s a Seiko. They make watches to last and thus one’s a beauty with a highly reliable movement. Seiko’s dials demand attention and this one is a bit of eye candy in a retro chunky but stylish fashion. I have many expensive watches and this one remains one of my favourites. Pair it with a thick leather 24 mm band and double down with style. Seiko quality at an affordable price.
