Sorry for overlaying the "Hit the Road, Jack" classic song on top of this review's title in my mind but the review title really does say it all. Besides this item (which i will discuss in a moment), I have purchased parts assortments, switch assortments and others, and have been happy enough with the parts that I would reorder and order other Bojack products. And this product (74-series ICs) is an example of one I purchased because I had previously purchased other Bojack products. Like may Bojack products that I assume are targeted toward regular hobbyists such as myself, the product contains a well-analyzed selection of parts that you are likely to need in a collection of SN74... series ICs. And the DIP packaging makes them very convenient for breadboarding. There is a bit of a challenge getting them into the breadboard because of the way the chips are manufactured -- the pins splay out and won't fit with ease into the breadboard holes like, say, my 7-segment LED display tubes do. But this is a common manufacturing practice, so i do not hold this against Bojack. (Plus, I could probably use more skill and I have improved; I bent the pin of the first IC (74LS00, NAND gates) but thereafter took greater care and learned to angle the chip in such a way on installation as to make the other side's row of pins insert better.) I have used multiple instances of several of the parts (NAND, AND, OR, XOR, BCD decoder) and they work both individually and in concert without any kind of current or functional issue, and perform exactly as intended. There were enough of each value that I was not left stranded on any individual project. There are other sources for ICs on Amazon (especially special-purpose ones) but those seem a bit sketchy to me; for specialty or sensitive ICs, I will head to a supplier like Mouser, Jameco, or DigiKey (the most expensive option, unfortunately), who will usually have exactly what you want and will deliver it plugged into electrostatic foam. The biggest difficulty I had was that since two types are bulk dumped in the same compartment -- for instance, SN74LS32N and SN74LS47N -- I had trouble reading the number on some of the chips and ended up have to take a photo of the chips under bright light angled a particular way, in order to read the values. That could be just a me problem. For common digital logic ICs that you might need, I think this is a useful collection to have and, like the title says, you'll probably be back for more Bojack products. ------- I am not a paid reviewer, relative, investor, or related in any way to the products I review. I'm just a regular hobbyist wanting to not waste time on products that don't arrive, arrive in poor shape, don't work, or were terrible value. Probably pretty much like you, if you are reading this review. Hopefully this will help you choose products that move your projects forward.

Found a couple in this set that were not functioning. But with places like radioshak not open anymore. We'll worth the cost just so I have the required chips on hand.... money well spent....

A few ICs have arrived in non working order, the vast majority were great, although you should be aware the manufacturers of each chip appear to be complete knockoffs, with production locations ranging from china to Taiwan.

For what seems to be counterfeit ICs, they all seem to work, as far as I've tested
