Anthony's Organic Arrowroot Flour, 4 lb, Batch Tested Gluten Free, Non GMO, Vegan

So, our use is not the traditional use. Our son has dysphagia and has to have his formula thickened. The doctors wanted us to use baby rice cereal or oatmeal. We had no options but to use it during his hospital stay from 1-2 months old. After researching the effects of rice cereal on babies (especially before 42 weeks gestational age), seeing how constipated our son was and realizing the amount of calories he was taking in from it we stopped using it. From then until 7 months (6 months corrected) we used Gelmix. Highly recommend Gelmix, but unfortunately it was getting too expensive. We waited until 6 months corrected age to trial this Arrowroot after doing some research. So far it's been great! The amount of arrowroot that is actually in each bottle is almost negligible. It comes out to less than a gram per ounce. This product thickens very well and not very much is needed overall. It's a lot like using cornstarch but better for you! We've used it here and there for sauces and gravies and it is no different than cornstarch in how to prepare it. I think the price is great as well especially for it being organic.

This arrowroot flour is fantastic—exactly what I was looking for! The bag is MASSIVE. I’ve been using it as the main ingredient in my spray tan finishing powder, and it works perfectly for that purpose. The texture is extremely fine & helps take away the stickiness after a spray tan. I’ve purchased several products from Anthony’s in the past, and I have always had a good experience. This arrowroot flour is no exception. Whether you’re using it for cooking, baking, or DIY projects like mine, it’s a great product. I highly recommend this brand and will definitely be repurchasing when I run out!

I am pleased to have discovered this high quality, organic arrowroot flour! I bake grain-free bread every week, and this is one of the ingredients I use. I also use it in various grain-free recipes that I rely on for my special diet as a gluten sensitive person.

Good arrowroot powder, very fine powder and easy to consume.

Arrives quickly but sadly doesn’t state on the listing or website that it uses shared equipment and may be present: soy, sesame seeds, dairy and tree nuts. All of which I can’t have… so now I have 5 pounds of arrowroot flour that I can’t/won’t use due to risk of allergic reaction. So warning others. 2 stars for how quickly it arrived though. Please update your listing to state these allergens.
