By any chance if I lost the piece that holds the neck part of the magnet. How could I order only that piece?

Please contact us ,and then we will resend a new package to you make replacement at once, please don't worry and please let us know if you need any help, thanks

will this hold an old model iPhone measuring 2 1/2 X 4 3/4 ?

It should no problem. It holds my Samsung Note 5 that measures 3 X 6 inches. The claw adjusts well to fit different sizes of phones. The only problem is it will vibrate when going down the road because of my phones weight, but if I rest the phone on the dashboard it stabilizes it and solves the problem.

Will it hold a samsung s7 galaxy. With a commuter otter box protecting the phone?

Yes. It fully supports your cell phone.

Can it fit a phone that has a finger ring on the back of the case?

Our engineers tested it with the iPhone 12 and found that even if there is a finger ring on the back of the phone, it can still be securely mounted.
