Skechers Men's Flex Advantage Bendon Work Shoe

These shoes have been to hell and back and are still kicking. Been using them for a few years now and they are still holding up despite the abuse I put them through. As of recent the grip at the bottom of the sole have started peeling off... some epoxy and they were back to taking all the abuse I throw at them. The comfort was great in the beginning but after some abuse they will not be as plush. Still pretty comfortable considering the amount of wear they have endured.

I run a busy Deli/Restaurant, mostly from the kitchen, working 5-6 days a week and not looking to make a fashion statement with my shoes. These have been my go to shoes for several years now. Yes, they have good slip resistance, are comfortable (wide fit is the best for me), and have a reasonable life. I get a good 12-13 months of use, better than cheaper and more expensive shoes I've tried (I'm not paying $100+ for a kitchen work shoe, so god bless if you do). This shoe also addresses my BIG PET PEEVE of other slip resistant kitchen shoes, the soles don't get easily clogged up with chunks and globs of food bits that inevitably hit the floor in a busy lunch rush kitchen (yes, we keep all work surfaces etc. sanitary as required, but lots of stuff makes it to the floor to be swept up later). A layer of debris stuck to the bottom of your shoes is neither comfortable or slip resistant, and you end up tracking that crap wherever you go (a quick run to the dinning area to greet a customer you actually like?). Anyway, the pattern of the sole works great in a kitchen. In conclusion, I really like this Skechers shoe. They don't fall apart after a few months, and they work for me in the kitchen. They have other similar types, slip on, flex, etc., but check the pattern on the sole. If not the same, skip it as a kitchen work shoe. Oh yeah, they can be thrown in the washing machine (remove the inner sole and air dry) if you accidentally pour a bunch of bacon grease on them.

I've owned several pairs of Sketchers in the past and I've always ordered or bought an adult size 9. I even currently wear a size 9 Sketchers for work and they are almost identical to these shoes without the slip resistant sole. Recently I transferred stores and the new store I'm at has a sealed concrete floor and it's very slick so I ordered these shoes to try and prevent from slipping all the time. Since I currently own a size 9 in Sketchers I thought the size 9 would fit perfect. To my surprise they were too big. I included two pictures of the original pair I got to my current work shoes. Both are Sketchers and both are size 9 and you can clearly tell that the new ones are bigger than my current pair. I did some research to determine the actual difference in size and determined that I should go down one full size. So I returned the first pair and ordered a size 8. The size 8 is the perfect fit and matches perfectly, sole to sole, to my current size 9 Sketchers. So my recommendation is to go down one full size from what you currently wear when ordering these shoes. They are really comfortable and easy to move around in. I absolutely love them.

Working in a restaurant, it was time for new slip-resistant shoes. I got a great deal on these and besides being work appropriate, I've gotten many compliments on the style. Finally! A comfortable work shoe that also looks great! It took a few days to break in the foam soles, but once I did these are so comfy it's insane. I now use them for daily wear, hiking, biking, and work. After many months of heavy use (and washing) they are holding up as if new. Pro tip: I paired these with rubber bar laces that hook into the eyelets which make them easy to slip on/off. I usually buy my shoes from local discount stores but these are well worth replacing (eventually).

I bought my husband these for work because he is a chef and works in the kitchen all day and is on his feet. So he needs some good shoes that don’t slip also in the kitchen. When they arrived they are lightweight fitting. Size is true to size. So far he’s been wearing them for two months, he says they are pretty comfortable but some days his feet still hurt after work. I haven’t seen any holes or rips on them yet and he goes through shoes so fast he has to keep buying some usually every other month. The only thing he notices is that it doesn’t hold odor to good! If you work all day your feet will get sweaty and he notices they will smell up easy and the odor doesn’t go away! So they don’t work well if your working long hours on your feet because they don’t hold odor at all. Don’t get them wet or wear them to long. However I don’t think they are worth the price they are asking for them. I think work shoes are work shoes, if your one to go through work shoes fast, your better off just buying a cheap brand for cheaper price and not put a hole in your wallet!!!
