I've tried a number of other Yerba Mate brands over the years on Amazon or what I occasionally find in the grocery store. For quite a while I was into the big yellow bag brand but after switching to others and then this one, I can't stand the bland and watered down taste of that other brand... Meanwhile Ecoteas Yerba Mate has so much more flavor. I make it stronger than instructed with 3 heaping tablespoons and add in fresh sliced ginger. No sweetener or anything else needed. I start every day with that. Fresh, organic, gives the caffeine energy boost I need, and tastes delicious while doing it. Also priced for better than that yellow bag brand now that they only sell in those little half-bags.

It was delivered in a timely manner, fresh tasting with the grind and texture very satisfying. We have enjoyed this loose leaf organic product several times already. It will be a breakfast staple to supplement our coffee brew.

Every time I buy loose yerba mate, from any brand, it seems there's a lot of fine particles / dust. My solution is to put the yerba mate into an infuser, then rinse it for a solid 30 seconds under running water. This removes most of the dust. This tea has a good flavor.

My new morning ritual. This tea is wonderful. It clears my head, improves my mood, and helps with elimination and decreases my appetite. I'm sure it increases my metabolism but I can't say for sure -- I just know it increases my energy level. It tastes awful though when I brew it as instructed on the bag but I just add some fresh lemon juice and drink it down (about 8-10 ounces) about 90-120 minutes after I wake up. I have cut down on coffee and feel this tea has more of a positive effect.

Yerba Mate is good for you. Aquire the taste and feel the rewards.

Great antioxidant profile. The caffeine is cleaner, there is not a major crash throughout the day and it does not cause jitters (everyone is different so be mindful). It has a pleasant taste with a hint of bittersweet flavour. I brew it in a French press with hot water and pour into a different container for consumption throughout the day(s).
