Gold Dust

I have used this in my old house paint and now to repaint. I use Satin paint and 2 or 3 packs to 5 gallons paint to add a little sparkle to my walls. It's magical and can be seen mostly at night when light is shining on it and or sunlight on a wall. I smile at the sparkle in my walls. It's beautifying. 2 to 5 gallons is very light sparkle. I think 3 is better but not too much.

I wanted a subtle glitter on my stair risers and first bought a very popular brand. It was very chunky, even the so called "fine glitter" All it did was make the paint look dirty unless light was hitting it. Then it was extremely glittery. This glitter is perfect, the paint just looks normal, and then when the light hits it, you see the beautiful gold shimmer. If your looking for a truly subtle paint glitter, this is the one!

this product is nice and has a slight sparkle I've had gold sparkle before that was made by another company that is now discontinued and the sparklers were bigger and brighter this product is more just like a sparkly dust instead of the actual glitter particles but it still looks nice but if you're looking for a big punch this product will not deliver it

With the mixed reviews, I wasn't sure what to expect with this. I used 4 packages of the gold color in 1 gallon of Benjamin Moore Colorado Clay paint. As recommended by other reviewers, I wiped the walls down with a damp cloth after the paint had dried for about an hour. Before wiping it down the sparkle was barely visible, after wiping down I thought it was a little to much until I realized you really only see the sparkle when you care standing close to the wall or when direct light is hitting it. I like it a lot. I think 3 packages would have been plenty though. Wiping the wall down is essential to maximize the glitter!!

I have sparkles in nearly every room of my home, I love sparkly paint, but this was the first time I chose gold rather than silver. I used a LOT, I think it was 2 1/2 bags per gallon of paint & you can’t even see it. There’s 1 spot near the window (no direct sun) that you can see some sparkle, but that’s pretty much it. In the past, I’ve only ever used 1 bag per gallon. For example , a different wall, same room, silver sparkles, it lights up like crazy when the sun hits it, but not this. So my advice? If you’re not sure, go with the silver.

These sparkles are just perfect for adding another dimension to your paint job. In order to ensure you will be happy with the color of paint you selected, be sure to buy a sample quantity first. Apply a coat of the paint to a section of the wall and let dry. Pour a portion of your sample paint into a paper cup, mix in some sparkles and apply the sparkly paint over the first coat. Let dry. The sparkles really pop out as the paint dries..

Worked perfectly for my office. I wanted a subtle effect for my home office. Something that you can see in direct light, but not over-the-top since you can see my office from the rest of the house. I added 2 packets of gold to 1 gallon of Valspar Signature paint in eggshell. I chose the color Gorgeous White by Sherwin Williams and it lives up to its name. It's a very very pale pink and the glitter just makes me smile. Easy to mix (I shook it by hand for about 30 seconds) then stirred it with a paint stick. No problems with clumping at all.

Tad on the pricey side, but it's hard to find the gold color. Silver was in Lowe's for $6 a bag. I used 4 bags of silv in a very small bathroom space for a glittery sheen in a very deep blue. It's amazing!!
