PPE Premium High-Efficiency Oil Filter 2019-2021+ GM Silverado 1500 3.0L (Replaces AC Delco PF66)

I’ve been running the PPE MicroPure oil filter on my 3.0L Duramax every other oil change since I bought the truck, and it’s easily one of the best upgrades I’ve made for engine protection. Early on during break-in, I cut open my filters and this one actually caught fine metal particles—which is expected on a new engine—but what stood out was how well it trapped everything. That gave me a lot of confidence right away that it was doing its job at a higher level than your typical filter. To really see how things were going, I sent my oil in to Blackstone Labs for analysis—and the results came back excellent. Wear metals were low, everything was within spec, and it confirmed that the engine is staying clean and protected. That was the final proof I needed that this filter isn’t just marketing—it actually performs. Since those early oil changes, I haven’t seen any concerning material at all, and the engine continues to run smooth and strong. The MicroPure media clearly does a better job filtering out the fine stuff that cheaper filters can miss. At this point, it’s about trust. These engines aren’t cheap, and I’m not cutting corners on something as important as filtration. Between what I saw during break-in and the Blackstone results backing it up, I trust this filter more than anything else on the market.
