Very good quality. Sturdy, easy to clean, and does what it's supposed to do. I would buy again, but I don't think I will need to.

I call this a spider, while others call it a strainer or skimmer. Either way, it's a must have in your kitchen. I use it to retrieve some, but not all pastas (think gnocchi, orecchiette, fusilli, etc but not spaghetti or linguini). I also use it to bring fried foods out of oil. I just made homemade French fries last night. It's fully stainless steel and well made, but the weight is pretty light, so it's easy to use. I don't think the basket portion will be coming off the handle, for example. It seems welded on. Speaking of the basket part, that is the measurement, not the entire thing! This has a long, full size handle. I love that it's dishwasher safe too.

I was hesitant to order this due to many past disappointments with ordering cooking tools online, but this item turned out to be a pleasant surprise. It’s good size and well made and works perfectly. Unlike past orders of different utensils, I expect this to last many years and not fall apart like the others.

The strainer is well made. Other models viewed seemed to have a 45 degree tilt to the basket. This one has no tilt, which is not readily discernible from the photo. My husband had to put the strainer in a vice to bend it to get an angle, which will be more useful with deeper pots. If you want a strainer with almost no tilt angle to skim the surface of more shallow pots, this is it.

This is my first time using this tool and I love it when I’m frying stuff it works well one scoop and all the meat out the pot and it’s so sturdy
