Sony 50CRM80RS Audio CD-R, 50-Pack Spindle

This is a very good Blank Media Music disc to purchase if you need to burn music discs to a CD Recorder, because you cannot use just any Blank CD-R disc to burn in a CD Recorder. Most Music blanks even from top brand names many will not work in a CD-R Recorder ! Why ? What's the difference ? This is what I have learned: Most of CD-R discs that are widely sold are for computer burning. All of these will work in a computer. Every hub of CD-R discs regardless of brand name has the little logo on the Hub that shows "Compact Disc with: Recordable"-directly beneath the Compact Disc logo and nothing else. All of these particular CD-R's are geared for computers. Looking for the ones that work in CD-R Recorders all the time ? This is what you need: The logo for these discs are just a little different: The logo will show: "Compact Disc with Digital Audio printed directly under this, then Recordable" printed underneath Digital Audio. These are the correct Media blanks to buy for CD-R Music burning on a CD-R Recorder. Besides this brand of Sony, I've only occasionally found some Maxell CD-R's that have Digital Audio printed on the Hubs with the Compact Disc logo, and they are getting harder to find. My CD-R Recorder is a Teac and these are the only type of blanks that will work for me.

The other day I went to Walgreens and bought a bunch of Verbatim CD-Rs so I could burn some demo CDs from iTunes on my new computer. No dice. Kept getting an error message. Googled the issue and ended up finding all kinds of suggestions ranging from reinstalling my optic drivers to changing the brand of CD-R. I’m using iTunes on Windows 10 (Dell Inspiron). I tried every insane situation suggested because I didn’t think it could be as simple as switching the brand of CD....WELL it was. All of these have worked for me. Haven’t wasted a single one. No errors. I burn on a slow speed and have had no problems. If you’ve had problems with other CD-Rs, give these a shot and quit googling a bunch of insane solutions to an easy problem. The only issue is that they only work if you have good taste in music.

4 stars because of the packaging. Product has flimsy packaging, a paper cover over the disks and a thin plastic wrap over the paper that is removed once you open the spindle. That being said, so far they work for older stand alone recorders like the Philips line of recorders. I hope it works in yours as these are harder and harder to find. Avoid the maxell gold packs with the maxdata label. They will work in the computer, but may or may not work in the stand alone recorder , and usually the product description shows the older gold label, not the maxdata label they ship to you. And... so far two calls to maxell have left voice mails that they do not return your call or help you in any way. Thank you Sony for keeping a product we can use. Makes me like Sony more. Edit 08-24-2015 I went to use a few of these and got the opcfail display. puzzled me because these work. so... after thinking it out a little I "cleaned" the blank disk with GE cleaning solution for cd/dvd's and poof... reads and writes just fine. So if you have some failing... don't worry yet... try cleaning them before you use them, and perhaps they will load just fine. Just trying to keep you informed. :)

I am useing a Marantz CDR to create or copy music CD and it sound better than copy on computer. I was able to buy those disc for computer data and recording just fine for many years. But for the last two years, I tried almost every brand disc, even those "Made in Japan" disc, including Memorex Music CDR disc, my picky Marantz CDR reject them all. I was considering of buying another CDR machine, but after reading the feedback from Amazon.com, I decide to give one last try. My Marantz CDR reconized the first Sony Music CDR disc on the first try! I am glade I can fine a quality disc which is not overly expensive! Good job Sony!

I bought these for a TEAC CD recorder. I could not get them to work at all. TEAC player kept saying "ERR 07" I tried turning the player off and then on again....nothing. I tried several discs....nothing. The label read correctly so I have no idea why it will not work. I should have tried one as soon as I received the order back in August of 2016 - my mistake. Now I'm stuck with them : too long now for a return. That would be my advise : TRY THEM IMMEDIATELY to see if they work. I guess I can use them on my computer but they were kind of expensive for that purpose. *******REVISED***** I am changing my one star review to five star. These discs work fine. The original problem was my RECORDER : the laser stopped working.

Use these CDs to record my valuable and extensive 45s and LPs collection. It is much easier to pop the cd in the player and listen to all of my favorite songs from the late 50s to the 90s. I never have enough of these great cds.

I needed to transfer all my music files from pc to my laptop. Rather than doing the cloud thing, I made hard copies and then bit by bit put what I wanted on the laptop. Now, all my music is backed up on to disposable hard copies that go to my friend's parties, bbq's, whatever. If they damage the cd, I burn another one. This a quality product, formatted specifically for audio, with excellent sound quality reproduction. Can anybody say Sony!!! Excellent product, good price, long term investment. Go for it!!!

I had to buy these so that I could burn CD's in my Sony RCD500c. I was having a very difficult time finding these in a local store, so I checked out Amazon, and I am glad that I did. My previous pack was a 100 disc, and that took quite a while to use up, so now I needed more. Unfortunately, not all CD-R's are equal. If you want to use a CD burner, you have to use the special "music" ones. If you are like most people and use your computer, you can just go to any store and buy whatever they have (typically a CD-R, but a data type). Either way, I would rather use the Sony burner, and I have always used Sony discs. These have not let me down yet, and I have used about 5 already. If you are looking for good Music CD-R discs, I would highly recommend these!
