Is this a 6 month slow release fertilizer?

Delta it says 3 months on the package so that is what I assumed. I didn't order until early July anyway, because I had been using a liquid flower fertilizer before that, but while the plants looks good, that didn't seem to be doing much for blossoming. I had many pots and planter boxes stuffed with flowering plants, but not much in the way of actual flowering going on. I fertilized once with this, lightly broadcasting into planters and sprinkling in pots. Within a week to ten days I could see plenty of new buds. By late July/Early August I had a flower explosion that lasted right up until frost hit in late October here in CT. There was so much in bloom up by my house that butterflies, bumblebees, and hummingbirds came from all over the woods and fields to get to them. So I was quite pleased with the results!

how much fertilizer per gallon of water?

This item that you show is a slow timed release version of the food. It is granular and is sprinkled on top of the soil and it is time released and slow resolving. You never mix this variety into a gallon of water. Schultz has a instant bloom food that is bucket dilutable similar to Miracle grow. With that product it is 1 teaspoon to 1 gal of water. Or 1 tablespoon to a full watering can.

can i use this for orchid？

I don't think so , I would only use an orchid specific plant food .
