My Tiny Sidekick for Minimizing Resin Printing Smells.
When I first started resin 3D printing, I was not prepared for the smell. That sharp, chemical odor that makes your whole workspace feel like a science experiment gone wrong. I tried opening the windows, but in the middle of winter and during howling gales, that was not exactly ideal. Enter the Anycubic Mini Air Purifier, a tiny but surprisingly effective fix for keeping my workspace from smelling like a toxic waste site. I will be honest, I was skeptical at first. This thing is small. Like, "is this actually going to do anything?" small. But once I set it up inside the cover next to the middle shaft of my Anycubic Mono M5s printer and let it run, I noticed a real difference. The high-density activated carbon filter does a solid job of absorbing those resin fumes, making the air feel fresher and a lot less harsh on my nose when I open the cover. It is ultra-quiet too, which means I can focus on my prints without an annoying fan noise in the background. It is lightweight, easy to move around, and since it is USB-powered, I can plug it in pretty much anywhere. I usually keep it right next to my printer ready to be deployed, but I believe it would be handy for other small spaces that need a little air freshening. It is not going to replace a full ventilation system, but for a compact purifier, it does its job very very well. The only downside is that the filters do not last forever, so you will need to replace them eventually. Also, if you are working in a larger space, you might need more than one for maximum effect (I got 2 together as a deal). But for keeping my immediate printing area from smelling like a chemistry lab, it is a great little tool to have. If you are running a resin printer in a small workspace and want to cut down on the fumes both inside or outside the printer hood without going all in on an expensive air filtration setup, this little purifier is a simple and effective fix.

Great Little Air Purifier for Resin Printing!
I’ve been using the Anycubic Air Purifier with my resin printer, and it’s been a brilliant addition to my setup. It really helps reduce the harsh resin smells not completely gone, but definitely enough that I don’t have to worry about fumes while printing. It’s super quiet and very compact, so it fits neatly inside or next to the printer without getting in the way. I also love that it’s USB Type-C rechargeable, which makes it easy to power from my printer or a power bank. The replaceable filters last a good while too, so maintenance is simple and affordable. Overall, it’s a small but very effective upgrade for anyone working with resin printers. Great value, great performance highly recommend!

One faulty air purifier
Edit: Anycubic contacted me directly and asked whether I would like a refund or for them to sent new air filters, I have chosen new air filters. I have amended my review in response to this. Once I receive the new ones I will update again. After a successful charge and use one of the purifiers will now not charge and there’s a smell and heat coming from near the charging port. There’s no option to send a message to the supplier only to return, but I don’t want to return both.

Helps neutralize nasty niffs
We had a resin printer a couple of years ago, but never really got on with it - and the smell was one of the reasons for that. Resin is smelly, especially if you have your printer set up inside (as we now do). I had the opportunity to purchase an Anycubic Photon Mono 4 cheaply recently though and saw these on their website. It almost seemed to good to be true, but they really do remove the vast majority of the odour from the (water washable) resin. The filters are basically silent unless you hold them up to your ear. I've used them a couple of times now both during the actual printing and while post-processing. Very effective and definitely worth the price. I haven't had to charge them up again since I started, so the battery life seems good as well. I'm not sure how long the filters will last, so I have bought an extra set of charcoal inserts. These are very easy to replace and inexpensive (manual reckons evey 6 months).

Great but with some defects (possibly got a faulty one?)
Bad points (mine might be faulty?): - Both have quite a loud, high-pitched whistling sound when charging - you can't be in the same room while they are charging (not sure if mine are faulty?) - One of mine also now rattled/buzzes when switched on, but the other doesn't. Again, not sure if this is a faulty one? Good Points: -They do seem to work - I have both running in an enclosed printer and they make a noticeable difference. I've tried them with PLA, PETG AND TPU and they almost entirely eliminate the smell in the room. - They fit nicely inside my Creality K1 - I bought them thinking they might not fit, but they actually fit perfectly! :) they slot nicely down the side of the bed and don't obstruct anything. - The batteries last well - I leave them both running for hours and hours and tbh they last for ages, so long prints aren't a problem.

This isn't a magic force field
The Anycubic Mini Air Purifier is a nifty little gadget that promises to keep your 3D printing fumes at bay. And, to be fair, it does a decent job of reducing some of the more... pungent odors that emanate from melting plastic. It's like having a tiny, diligent butler, quietly tidying up the air while you're busy creating articulated dragons and phone cases. But here's the thing, folks, and this is where we need to get slightly serious: this isn't a magic force field. While it might make the air feel cleaner, and reduce some smells, it's not a substitute for proper safety precautions. Think of it as a helpful assistant, not a superhero. You still need to wear a full mask. Yes, you. Even if you feel like a futuristic beekeeper. And gloves. Because those fumes and tiny particles? They're not great for you, even if you can't smell them as much. It's like the difference between hearing someone whisper and someone shouting: the whisper is still there, even if it's less obvious. So, to summarize: the Anycubic Mini Air Purifier is a worthwhile addition to your 3D printing setup. It's small, it's relatively quiet, and it does make a noticeable difference in reducing fumes and smells. But don't let it lull you into a false sense of security. You wouldn't go swimming with sharks just because you have a small boat, would you? Treat those fumes with respect. Wear a mask, wear gloves, and ventilate your space. Your lungs will thank you.

Super for price and doses the job
Super. It working as intended. You can't go wrong for that price so far they working from full charge 3.5h non stop. Lovely small compact. Price is really good. You can't hear them so quietly working. Love the design. Look sturdy just carbon is bit lose inside so if you drop it it might brake but that car is is fragile.

No More Smelly Science Projects! The Air Purifier You Didn’t Know You Needed for Resin Printing
So, I bought the Anycubic Mini Air Purifier to tame the toxic cloud that usually accompanies my resin 3D prints, because who really enjoys breathing in Eau de Chemical Factory? Spoiler alert: it works! This little guy is like a ninja for nasty fumes, super quiet, sneaky, and does the job without causing a scene. I popped it next to my resin printer, and while it won't turn your workshop into a fresh pine forest, it absolutely handles the smell and makes working bearable again. The activated carbon filter sucks up VOCs like a champ, and it’s compact enough not to hog any space. Bonus points for being rechargeable, which means I can print and purify without the tangle of extra cords. Downside? The filters need changing every few months, but hey, for saving my lungs, it’s a small price to pay. If you’re like me and love printing but hate feeling like you’re in a gas chamber, get these, your nose (and housemates) will thank you! 🎨💨
