Do these filters have the plastic rim?

Yes, a hard plastic with the same indentations to fit in the vac. Love them!

How do you clean these filters after use?

Well they are not exactly easy to clean, but I take an old tooth brush, that I stash under my kitchen sink. Take out the dust cup and a lot of it will just shake off and then I take the tooth brush and brush hard, comes off fairly easy. if you want, wear rubber gloves. they are so inexpensive, but it's worth cleaning them and then after so many cleanings just toss them.
