One of the best lighters I've ever owned—it works perfectly, has excellent battery life, charges very quickly, and is small enough to fit in a pocket.

Just as I was starting this review, my second lighter was delivered. I love several things about these lighters. It is beautiful and works well; it is easy to light a smoke. There are no chemicals or gas fumes. The "flame" is controlled so less chance of burns and has a low profile. The wind doesn't affect the performance. I will no longer get calluses on my thumb! It is easy on my hands, open the lid and push a button. Close the lid and it is ready for the next use. Mine came fully charged, and when I did the first recharge it was done in less than an hour. The day after I received the first lighter, I ordered a second. If it continues to work this well, I may purchase a couple more just to have one in the car and one on the patio or as gifts. They feel like they will last a long time. And, it feels good in your hand, a nice weight and size to be really comfortable. Perfect for older hands that are stiff and don't work like they used to. I am very happy with my purchase and will update if anything changes, but for now I highly recommend.

Pretty cool lighter. Got the dragon design. It charges fast, produces a lot of heat/lights things quickly and is great at lighting things. Has a built in safety feature if you leave it open too long too. Makes a cool electric sound. Led battery indicator. Easy to use, just flip it open and press a button. You do have to press it right against what you are lighting though because of the short prongs but that's fine.

Terrible! So dangerous! First one arrived March 13th and worked fine until it needed charging. I plugged it in and went about my life but I started to smell something burning a bit later and it was my new lighter! It was hot and wouldn't turn on. The button wouldn't even push, like it was stuck? I thought I got a defective one, it was cheap, no big deal - and, as it was the 3rd LcFun lighter I'd purchased (I got the pink one in 2024 and the gold dragon in 2025), I just went ahead and ordered another of the same. Big mistake! This time, it happened in front of me, in real time. I used it this morning, no issue, noticed only one light on, and plugged it in to charge. Less than 2 hours later, I unplugged it to use the cable for something else, and then tried to use the lighter about an hour after that. Only one arc lit up. Huh. Released the button, closed the lid, reopened it, and pressed the button again. One arc. Released the button, zero arcs, and brushed across the tips with my finger to see if there was some obstruction and that thing shocked the heck out of me and sparks started popping out and I could hear it fizzing and crackling inside as it got hotter and hotter in my hand! That button on the first lighter wasn't stuck, it was melted, because I felt the button this one get squishy and start to sink into the lighter as I carried it to the door in a little bit of a panic. I threw it out in the snow, which is where it will stay until that snow melts because it immediately sank through 2 feet of it and out of sight.

I got this after a friend gave me a light with his, and I was like, "What's a plasma lighter?" These things are so cool! Really, the only downside is the battery life- -which is the reason I only gave it four overall stars. As far as functionality and cool factor, it's Five+. Basically, plan to recharge it every day. Especially when you first get it, it will run out faster because you'll probably find yourself fiddling with it, and lighting it just for fun. A note on usability: unlike a normal flame lighter- -where you don't want to look straight down on it, in order not to singe your eyebrows- -with these there is very little heat beyond about a quarter of an inch away from the plasma. Since the plasma forms an X pattern, you basically want your smoke to point straight down on top of the lighter as shown in the first picture, hovering just above the plasma. It will automatically shut off after 7 seconds, but if you need more heat just release the button and press it again. It's not designed for sustained heat, so don't rinse and repeat that very many times without letting it cool down. One other side note: If you like to fiddle with things, you might find yourself opening and closing the lid- -as the lighter is pleasing to hold in the hand, and the lid is well built and it's satisfying to actuate it. Well one time I quite surprised myself by accidentally pressing the ignition button while my thumb was also up in contact with the bottom two nodes. It gave me quite a shock ( pun intended :-) and left a mark- -two little dots where the nodes were and a thin line connecting them. Now it's half a day later and I was going to take a picture of that too, but it's already gone. The plasma automatically cuts off when the lid closes, so it's actually pretty hard to have it happen. I tried for a little bit to do it again on purpose (just cuz that's how I roll :-) and haven't been able to- -so it's unlikely to happen, but worth noting. A huge plus feature that this lighter has, that my friends doesn't, is the charge indicator lights. My experience has been that the progression of use correlates well with the indication of the lights, and the battery seems to give pretty consistent performance throughout each of the four indicators. It's also nice that the last one starts blinking when the lighter is getting close to running out of juice. It charges pretty fast too - - I haven't actually timed it, but I think it only takes a couple of hours. Inevitably, future versions will have better battery life - - but these are inexpensive enough that I'll probably get a spare just in case something happens to this one. Also, since they're powered by a lithium cell they should hold a charge without use for a very long time, so the spare should be reliably fully charged. UPDATE 10/30/2020: Using a Quick Charge 18W 3A charger, I checked it after *1 hour*, and it was FULLY CHARGED!!

This is an amazing product. Super lightweight, incredible battery life, and I feel like a real Japanese salaryman when I light a smoke with it. I've been using it for close to a week now and only today has it gone down from 100% battery to 75%. It has completely replaced any flint lighter I've used. I hope I never misplace or lose it, but even if I do I would purchase it again in a heartbeat. I bought it on sale, but even at full price this is worth every penny. If you smoke, or just want a reliable lighter, buy this.

Pretty good lighter. Only issue I see is does not hold a charge. Pretty good when fully charged but when it gets to half charged does not light very well. Finding myself charging more frequently than I had hoped.
