This came boxed in a vacuum-sealed plastic bag of sorts, and as soon as I began cutting through the wrapping, it began to "inflate," as promised on the packing slip. It is NOT lightweight or small. We bought the Full Size (Double) for our standard futon frame, and I must say, it is really thick and well-cushioned. As it was still expanding with the atmosphere, you could hear/feel the coil springs that are in the center of the materials. After it has had about 2-3 days of adjusting outside the packaging now, it is quite comfortable to lay on briefly. I'm not quite to the 72 hours of letting it "rest" and expand yet, so I haven't laid down on it for more than a few seconds. We also haven't tried to fold it into the seating position, but I have serious doubts that it will do so without a fight. It's almost too plush and thick for being used as a seat for too long - it seems more fit to be left as a bed. If so, it is likely going to be a very popular mattress for our guest bedroom, as it seems to be made for sleeping comfort vs. sitting around on. That's fine for our purposes, but be aware that it will fight you at first if you use it as a couch. It also has a bit of a new odor that the packaging states is normal for a while until it breathes more. It isn't obnoxious or off-putting, so we don't mind. It smells like new fabric/material of any kind. The cover is a nice color of blue (our selection) and soft to the touch - not scratchy. I think we will be very happy with this purchase. I'll update the review after we have some time spent sleeping/sitting on it after the break-in period is over.

This is the most comfortable futon mattress I have ever purchased. It has good support, but is plush and soft at the same time. The thickness is actually 8" instead of 10" but the comfort makes up for the shortfall. It had no odor, and easily folded to fit the mattress frame, unlike some reviews have mentioned. I highly recommend it.

This mattress is thick, comfortable, and looks good. It is not quite 80” long, despite spending a week laying on our floor “expanding.” When we tried to fold it into the couch position, it was almost comical. We’ve tried several different ways of folding it onto the futon frame, but it just does not want to fold well. It’s sort of just curved on there, and because of the thickness, it loses a lot of seat space, so it’s a shallow futon. Definitely more workable and comfortable as a bed than a couch/futon.

Super comfortable fouton mattress. Much thicker than most and great for sleeping on. This mattress does not squish flat like most on the market. It's just like sleeping on an ultra plush cloud. Can be a bit tough to sit the frame upright from a flat position due the the bulk/weight of the mattress.

The mattress is very comfortable. However it won’t bend into a futon frame couch. It has to be left in the bed configuration so we can’t use it as a couch. Disappointed in this aspect of the couch but it is comfortable as a bed.

I bought this mattress in 2023 so I’ve slept on it for a bit over 2 years now. I really like this mattress! I actually sleep on this mattress every night and I sit on it during when I’m home. I’m a bigger person (300lbs when I first bought it but about 250 now) and it’s held up beautifully. I don’t find it too heavy and I flip it by myself but I can see how it might be too heavy for some people. It didn’t have a bad smell when I initially got it which was nice. It’s thick and supportive. I leave it flat because my dogs prefer to sit on it that way so I haven’t had to fold it up but it is substantial so I can imagine that it might be stiff when trying to set the futon back to a sofa type position. I prefer to use a thick foam mattress topper on all of my mattresses so I’ve never slept on this mattress without one; I can’t really speak to how soft or hard it is without the foam mattress topper. I can say that after more than 2 years, I have no dips or sags and the mattress seems to be holding up well. I also use a waterproof mattress cover in case my dogs have an accident so I think that’s helped keep the mattress is great condition as well. It’s very easy to keep it clean that way. I’d definitely buy another one of these in the future.

This product came as promised. Is VERY comfortable and I wish I would have bought it a few years ago. Purchase prevented me from throwing out a perfectly good wicker frame.

We ordered this mattress to replace an older one on my existing futon. When deciding which size to order, my husband said 10" is fine. It is a very comfortable mattress! However, due to the thickness, it will not form into a sitting position. It is now a bed. We could not determine this until we took it out of the box and put it on the futon. We probably would have sent it back to get a thinner one, but how do you get this thing into a box? And it is extremely heavy after it aborbs air. Who would pick it up? So we do now have a very comfortable bed, only.
