Positive points: - This kit is very, very useful for cleaning and polishing. The pieces have adequate build quality and tips made of felt come in good number so you have spares as they get worn out (please take a look at Product Details for a list of pieces that come in this kit). There are both nylon and steel brushes and each is adequate for certain kinds of jobs. - Polishing compound: it is included and comes in good quantity. It yields very good results.; - The case is nice and made of plastic with an acrylic lid. Be advised that there are little plastic parts and assembly manuals hidden under the panel so you can compose a final case with divisions for the pieces. This is neat. Just look at the back of the case for assembly instructions. Negative points: - It is just a shame that Dremel does not include usage procedures or hints on when to use each kind of tip. This could come as a small user's guide so you could take most of your Dremel tool. You have to rely on YouTube videos to make sure you are using everything correctly. Polishing must be done correctly so you don't damage your artifact. There are hints when polishing: applying the right amount of compound, usage of water to cool the artifact being polished, tool speed, etc. - Polishing compound container opening is not big enough to dip certain tips (e.g. felt disk)

In the set there are 2 or 3 nylon bristle brushes and a steel brush. 3 grinding wheels. A dozen or so felt tips that fit on to another piece that is then stuck in to the machine. This is the best piece in the entire set for polishing Dremel 520 Polishing Wheel . It is a rubbing compound and buffer combined. I bought another one of theses as soon as I wore the first one out. So if you are touching up something that has already been polished this kit is for you. If you have something that you want to polish and it is bigger than a deck of cards...then you might need more than one of these sets because none of the pieces last for a very long time. Also, polishing takes practice. If you have never polished anything before I think it is more difficult than it looks so depending on what your going to polish you may want to practice on something of lesser value first ( I didn't and wish I did ). Not to sound like a safty inspector but it is a good idea to wear some sort of saftey glasses, I wore reading glasses which worked good enough. However, when I was using the metal brush I got a piece of it stuck in my face, just below my nose. I didn't notice until I touched it a few hours later when my finger was on its way up to dig for gold. I thought to my self that sharp little peice of metal really hurts, I'm glad its not stuck in my bloody eye. I dont have a Dremel,I have a RotoZip RZ01-1300 120 Volt Spiral Saw Kit . Take care to avoid letting anything other than the polishing tip touch the piece that your polishing. It can leave a nasty mark. Then you have to start all over again on that spot which , is another reason to practice first. One more thing. A vise that attaches to your table or work bench will come in very handy. I did a quick search on amazon and I was surprised to see how inexpensive some of them were. Definitely worth it!

The kit comes with tools that will help with special clean up projects. I work with antique lamps and it is amazing when you take a dirty old lamp and transform it into what it had looked like when new. The quality of the dremel products help them survive through a busy, difficult job. Unlike some others I have used.

This kit was perfect for what I needed and worked great on polishing small metal parts
