this works so much better for me because I can place inside my stormtrooper helmet, great companion to the Aker voice amplifier.

Unless I held the mike close to my mouth, it did not amplify my voice. When I fastened it to my tie or shirt collar it did not pick up my voice.

Good inexpensive item. Could have better pick up. When clipped on the collar, the amplification is intermittent and scratchy. Works great if held up to the mouth.

I use the Aker 2200 with the head set mike which comes with it. I thought I would try the tie-clip microphone as it looks less noticeable. It did not work as advertised. I adjusted the location several times however I could not find a location to give me adequate volume. If I increased the volume (way passed what I would need for the headset) the speaker would squeal making the clip-on mike useless.Back to the headset and the clip-on is in a drawer --- too cheap to bother returning it.

Work very well

This microphone does not pick up at all from my collar. I have to hold it for my students to hear me. I hate it!

Works fine if microphone is right in front of mouth, but does not pick up sound very well if head is turned away from mike.
