I used this soap after working outside, and I got only one small spot of poison ivy on my arm (I’m assuming I just missed that spot when I washed my hands and arms). The scent of the soap isn’t overpowering. I would definitely recommend using this soap if you’re sensitive to urushiol.

My husband had a bad case of poison ivy and tried this. He swears it helped tremendously. It looks a little scary…kinda like seaweed in a bar of soap but it was worth it!

The only reason I did not give this a five star is due to the decorative hard weed that is on the soap. You cannot run the bar over your skin as it is too abrasive. If it were rose petals, that would be different. I would recommend removing the sticks of weed from the bar. This soap does provide relief and healing. It does not need decoration for this type of product use. I hope this helps.

I have been using jewelweed soap for years along with homeopathic remedy in my forever battle with poison ivy/poison oak rash. Only recently (in the middle of the night in a fit of itching) did I discover this tip and want to pass it on as I have found it to be immensely effective and gives almost instant relief from itching. After you wet the bar and rub on the affected area creating a not that foamy lather, do not rinse it off! Anytime the itch returns, continue to do this. Allow it to dry. Wonderful product.
