It's lego it's the same pieces but for kids. Interestingly they dulled down the directions a little and made it easier for younger kids. The manual has hands holding pieces to make it easier for them to see what is needed.

Awesome set
My kiddo and his friend absolutely loved this set. If you have kids who like dinosaurs and Lego, this is the perfect match. They enjoyed putting everting together and then "drive" around the house to catch Pteranodons. Really fun for kids and parents as well.
