I’ve been using Oxbow Western Timothy Hay for my rabbits, and the quality has been consistently excellent. The hay is fresh, green, and smells clean—not dusty or stale like some other brands I’ve tried. You can tell it’s been properly harvested and stored. My rabbits took to it immediately, and they go through it quickly, which tells me it’s palatable and not overly coarse. The strands are a good mix of long and medium pieces, which helps keep them engaged while also supporting digestion and dental health. I also appreciate that this hay is high in fiber and specifically formulated for small pets like rabbits, guinea pigs, and chinchillas. It doesn’t aggravate allergies as much as some cheaper hays, and there’s very little waste at the bottom of the bag. The 40 oz bag is a good size for regular use, and while it costs a bit more than generic hay, the quality difference is absolutely worth it. This is one of the few brands I trust to be consistent.

This brand has been a staple in our home since we got our Guinea pig 🐹 3 years ago. It has been an affordable brand that has always had quality ingredients. We started with this brands Timothy hay and we tried a couple other brands over the years but I kept coming back to this one because it always seemed like our Guinea pig liked this brand the best. Our piggy get super excited when we refill her hay and she popcorns in her cage as we’re refilling it. It’s like she’s saying, “yay, more of my favorite food!” 😂 The packaging has always been good and her teeth have always been great (no issues with them becoming overgrown; thank goodness 🙏). Her teeth are also clean and the texture of the hay has always been consistent. She is also not “picky” in terms of types of food given. So long as it’s safe for her to eat, she eats it all 😂Overall, this is some of the best hay that I have found for our little piggy.

My rabbits love this Timothy hay! I’ve ordered it a few times and have had no issues with the quality. My rabbits have no problems eating this hay either. I like the packaging having the capability to zip closed but I do have trouble getting it to close all the way so I just fold it over and use a clip. I’d still recommend and keep purchasing this.

This Oxbow Western Timothy Hay is the only hay my rabbits will consistently eat. It always smells fresh and clean, and the pieces are long, green, and soft enough for them to munch on easily. It keeps their teeth healthy and their digestion perfect. I love that it is natural and dust free, and it comes in a bag that stays fresh after opening. My bunnies get excited every time I fill their feeder with this hay. Great quality and totally worth the price for happy, healthy rabbits.

This hay just from opening the bag amazed me!!! This was my second time buying hay for my New Guinea ladies. First time I bought Kaytee Timothy… thought mmk they like it so I’m cool but every one says oxbow this oxbow that…. And now I see why … when I opened the box the bright pretty thick long stemmed hay shocked me. Wayyyyy better then Kaytee which was a more brown and muddy green then Oxbow. I also see the difference in dusty Kaytee quite dusty….oxbow nice long intact stems. Kaytee need to get her ish together lol. Very good quality, easy to open, reclosable, seems like great dress ingredients, very palatable the guineas love it. The first pic is the oxbow then the other is just a small handful of the green oxbow on a bed of brown Kaytee.

This Timothy Hay is my rabbits' favorite hay! This large bag is a great value for the price, and it will last a long time! It's full of healthy ingredients, and the resealable bag ensures the hay remains fresh.

I have always received really good quality hey from this company, intell this time, I got a poor quality batch from them as it didn't smell the same and the cut was chopped up more then I have ever seen. Bunny didn't enjoy as well. This was a one time deal I hope. So I will order agian and hopes of receiving what I always have, good quality Hey.

My guinea pigs love Oxbow hay. I was using Orchard Grass Hay but it was too dusty and crumbly. Timothy seems to stay in tact without dust. My piggies were climbing in the hay bin as I was dumping the bag into it…good sign that they approve!

Although I'm a fan of Oxbow.. my guineas like to eat a different brand that comes with longer strands. I have tried 2 or 3 different ones from Oxbow and this is all cut short. The longer strands really make them happy so I will only purchase these as backup from now on. It is what the box says. As usual Oxbow is reliable..
