Love, love, love this kettle. It heats up water quickly and you can set it for any temperature you need: coffee, black tea, green tea, etc. My son gifted it to me and I told him it’s so attractive I would display it in my kitchen even if it didn’t boil water. It’s a beautiful appliance.

I've used this every day for over 2 years. Love the temp hold feature, the pour spout, and the look. Pro tip: after a while, you do need to clean the contacts with isopropyl alcohol. After 2+ years, mine stopped registering when the kettle was on, a quick isopropyl wipe down of the contacts and it works great.

1/21/2026 The handle is coming off the pot. My fault. This is a product I really like. I use it multiple times a day. Can I buy a new pot for a reasonable price? I have only had it a few days so cannot comment on longevity. But its build quality looks good, and the electronics work easily and correctly right out of the box. I did not buy the cheapest listed on Amazon, but this is not far from it. Beautiful packing... My first thought was I would give this as a gift. Glossy black box, high quality glossy inserts and guide (although it is obvious that English is not a first language it is understandable.) So, on to the machine. It has the same high quality and elegant appearance as its box and packing. Controls are very easy to understand and use. By the time my coffee is ground the water is ready. The temperature hold is very helpful. I used to have to stand over the stove and watch water boil. Now it is set and forget. If I walk away, or during the pour itself, the temperature is maintained without boiling over. Oh, it did not have a that horrible lip on top that traps water. I have seen only a very little water in the bottom of the pot after draining. I did check the water temperature with my lab thermometer, and it was within one degree on the boil and on the hold. So, good quality, good performance and great looks. I will give one to my son for Christmas. Now it's just a question of how long it will last. Total time from grind to finish was 11 minutes. that included preheating the pour over pot and the cup with hot tap water.

Nvm!! Just realized there is a hold temp option. Silly me for not reading instructions. Great kettle! Bought it for pour overs at home. Heats up fairly quickly and the gooseneck gets the job done, but does have a slightly quicker pour than I would like. My only gripe is that it doesn’t hold temp when you put it back on the stand, so you have to click the button to heat again each time. Not a huge deal, just minor inconvenience when making pour over coffee (and when you tend to be a little forgetful).

UPDATE: I wanted to take the time to update based on customer service. Within 24 hours of my review below I was contacted by the seller and was offered a replacement unit, which I accepted. I received it today and have done my initial boil and first brew (205°). The replacement is working as expected. I updated to 4 stars (from my original 1 star), strictly due to customer service I received. I want to wait to see in a few months how the unit is working before giving any additional information, but the first two uses it is working as expected with no temperature fluctuations and I could hear doing the 205° heat that it was adjusting the temperature as I would expect while coming to temperature. Thank you to the seller for your willingness to correct this, as I said in my original review I do truly love this kettle. Good customer service can make all the difference in a situation like this. I want to love this kettle so much - and in the beginning, I did. So much so that I convinced two other people to buy it. Fast forward six-ish months, I don’t know if I got a faulty one but it acts like the temperature control/measurement is shot. Sorry, I don’t know the mechanics of an electric kettle but that’s the best I can describe it. When I first got it, the temperature would go up in normal increments exactly as I would expect. A couple of months ago something weird started happening. The temperature (as registered on the base) would start fluctuating all over the place. Just now I’m waiting for my water boil and the temperature shows around 200°, then drops to 145°, then back up again. Then all the sudden it just shuts off, and then turns back on again. Sometimes it just doesn’t want to start working at all. For the price of this kettle, I just expected better and I’m kind of sad this has happened and I’m going to have to spend a decent amount of money to get a replacement. Like I said, I LOVED this when I got it and was so excited - but now just over six months later and it’s acting this way? Too much to pay for it to malfunction like this so quickly. Glancing at some other reviews, it looks like I’m not the only one having this problem. Spend your $70 on something else. I have posted a video, and this isn’t the worst just what I was able to capture. I use this kettle for brewing tea, and I can’t trust that it’s brewing at the proper temperature now.

This kettle replaces my "starter" kettle, one of the el-cheapo ones that uses the same generic controls-in-handle as 93 other kettles. That control is awkward and a bit difficult to get exactly where you want it. This one, on the other hand, has it built into the base, and it's straightforward. It gets the water to the temperature you set it for, and then it keeps it there. If you take the kettle off and put it back on, it returns to the same temperature. It remembers the temperature from session to session. You can also leave it on the base and turn the whole thing off. The other cheap one I had couldn't sit on the base because it doesn't really have a power off option. The gooseneck on this one is exactly the diameter I'd want and has a nice tapered end. The flow rate is perfect for the pour-overs I make, which is the James Hoffman Ultimate V60 method. I couldn't be more pleased with this kettle. Mine did have a problem with the lid where a solder bond came loose and the lid started coming apart. The company's customer service answered my inquiry within an hour, which was especially impressive as I sent it at like 10 PM. They wanted a photo to see which lid I had, and then again within like an hour they already had another one packaged up and on the way to arrive in the next day or two. Any product can have a problem, and it's how the company handles that problem that makes the difference. This one gets top ratings for an excellent product and keeps it for having handled the one-off problem so well. That was above and beyond.

THIS BOILS VERY QUICKLY, OFFERS GREAT DEGREE CONTROL, AND LOOKS VERY SLEEK. NOW, THE ONLY THING I DON'T LIKE IS THE REQUIRED '3 SECOND PRESS' TO TURN THE UNIT OFF COMPLETELY. AT FIRST, I DECIDED TO JUST QUICK-TAP THE HEATING BUTTON TO TURN THE HEATER OFF AFTER USAGE, BUT BECAUSE OF THE WAY THIS BUTTON INTERACTS WITH THE 'HOLD HEAT' BUTTON, WHICH I ALSO USE, IT WOULD FAIL TO TURN THE KETTLE OFF. BUT I WOULDN'T NOTICE THIS, AND I WOULD SIT DOWN AND HEAR CRACKING NOISES FROM THE KETTLE AND REALIZE I HAD PUT THE EMPTY KETTLE BACK ON WITH THE HEAT STILL HIGH. THIS IS OF COURSE VERY NO BUENO FOR THE KETTLE, TO APPLY HEAT TO EMPTY KETTLE. NO BUENO. SO, CONFOUND IT, IN THE INTEREST OF CARING WELL FOR THE KETTLE AND TO NOT MAKE THIS MISTAKE AGAIN, I DECIDED I WOULD SIMPLY COMMIT TO LONG-PRESSING THE 'OFF' BUTTON EVERY TIME I USE IT. NOW, THIS MIGHT SEEM LIKE A MINOR ISSUE - WHAT'S 3 SECONDS IN THE GRAND SCHEME OF THINGS? WELL, I'LL TELL YOU. I MAKE COFFEE IN THE MORNING, TEA ONCE OR TWICE DURING THE DAY, AND OFTEN TEA AT NIGHT. SO 3-4 USES PER DAY. THAT'S 9-12 SECONDS I MUST SPEND LONG-PRESSING THIS DEVICE PER DAY. LET'S USE 10 AS A NICE ROUND NUMBER. THAT'S 70 SECONDS PER WEEK, 3640 SECONDS PER YEAR, AND ASSUMING I LIVE ANOTHER THIRTY YEARS OR SO, THAT'S 109,200 SECONDS OF LONG-PRESSING THIS STUPID BUTTON THROUGHOUT THE REMAINDER OF MY LIFETIME. NOW THAT'S 1820 HOURS, OR ABOUT 75 DAYS OF MY ENTIRE REMAINING LIFE ON THIS EARTH OF LONG-PRESSING THIS OFF BUTTON JUST TO ENSURE I DON'T LEAVE THE KETTLE ON HIGH HEAT WHILE EMPTY. NOW THAT BOTHERED ME QUITE A LOT INITIALLY. THAT'S SO MUCH TIME IN MY LIFE I COULD SPEND DOING MORE IMPORTANT THINGS, LIKE LOOKING AT MY PHONE OR SITTING IN MY ARMCHAIR OR WATCHING TV OR PLAYING VIDEO GAMES. BUT INSTEAD, I HAVE TO STAND LIKE A DWEEB FOR MULTIPLE SECONDS A DAY LONG-PRESSING THIS DEVICE TO TURN IT OFF. OVER TIME, THAT ADDS UP! I WAS GOING TO GIVE THIS KETTLE 4 STARS FOR THIS REASON. BUT LISTEN. I TRIED TO CHANGE ATTITUDE. I BEGAN SPENDING THOSE 3 SECONDS EACH LONG-PRESS THINKING ABOUT LIFE. I BEGAN TO THINK ABOUT THE MEANING OF LIFE. AND, NO, I HAVEN'T FIGURED IT OUT YET, BUT I THINK GIVEN THE THOUSAND-PLUS HOURS OF LONG-PRESSING THIS BUTTON THAT I HAVE TO LOOK FORWARD TO IN THE COMING DECADES, I MIGHT ACTUALLY JUST BEGIN TO DISCOVER SOME REAL, DEEP MEANING IN LIFE FROM THE CUMULATIVE 3-SECOND LONG PRESS MEDITATIONS. AND, I LIKE TO THINK THAT THIS RE-ORIENTING OF THE USE OF THIS TIME MAY JUST YIELD GREATER 'DIVIDENDS' THAN SCROLLING POLITICAL CONTENT OR WATCHING VIDEOS OF BABIES OR CATS. BUT, ONLY TIME WILL TELL. BUT THIS MUCH I CAN SAY, THE MECITY ELECTRIC KETTLE HAS CHANGED MY LIFE ALREADY, CAUSING ME TO LEARN TO SLOW DOWN, TO TAKE TIME TO THINK, TO MEDITATE, TO PONDER THE DEPTHS OF LIFE AND THE MYSTERIES THEREOF. I’ve been pleasantly surprised with how well this kettle works. It seems to heat up fast and the feature I probably like the most is the ‘hold’ feature. Once you set a temperature, the hold feature will keep the set temperature for up to two hours. Product looks nice and appears to be well built. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is that I’m very, very stingy with my star ratings. Overall this product is pretty darn good and I’d buy it again for a gift for someone.

Estou muito satisfeito com esta chaleira. O controle de temperatura é preciso e o visor LCD é claro e fácil de usar. Ela aquece a água rapidamente, e o bico tipo pescoço de ganso torna o despejo simples e preciso. O desligamento automático é um ótimo recurso de segurança. O design é elegante e fica ótimo na minha bancada. Altamente recomendada

Puedo programar la temperatura que quiera, cambiar entre grados farenheit y celsius, mantiene la temperatura, calienta extremadamente rápido, no he visto inconsistencias en mis cafés al usar una misma temperatura, es bonita, la verdad que por el precio creo que hay pocas opciones que puedan compararsele.
