Beautiful Java Fern!
Ordered the Java Fern four days ago. It arrived via FedEx in a small box, inside sealed plastic that had been misted for traveling moisture. The fern, though on the smaller side, arrived alive, healthy, and beautifully green. I inspected it for any hitchhiker snails and found none. I have it sitting in a cup of my aquarium water to watch it overnight, but it is in great shape from what I can see. I would definitely buy from them again.

Great Plant 2nd Time Around
Okay, the good: it's a decent sized bundle - not as good as I usually get from other sources, but the remaining leaves are green, so that's a plus. My big gripe, and the reason I'm giving this just 2 stars, is the condition the plant arrived in due to the bad pack*ging. This large bundle of plant on what was SUPPOSED to be a 3x5 inch coco fiber mat, was sh*pped in a soft, flimsy, squishy ENV**OPE. The coco fiber mat was squished and smashed to bits! There was no mat left - just a bunch of mat-turned-mulch attached to the roots of random leaves. There is literally a boot print on the sh*pping env**ope. Ridiculous. I've been buying Java Fern mats online for 10 years now, and I have NEVER seen one sh*pped in a soft env**ope - ALWAYS in a box ... until now. It'll be interesting to see if this plant even survives after the abuse it endured because of this shoddy p*ck*ging it was presented in. I WOULD NOT recommend buying from this place if you prefer your Java Fern mat and plant to arrive safely, well-packed and in one piece. If you don't mind a bag of coco mat mulch and random green leaves, then go for it - order away. Not me. ** EDIT: The seller contacted me immediately and intends to right this oversight. I'll update my review accordingly after I have a new plant to describe. ** EDIT 2: Received a replacement plant that was healthy and beautiful. Arrived in well-packed box, and leaves and roots all very healthy and intact. Rating moved up to 5 stars.

Need to glue to rock or wood. A wonderful & beautiful fern!
Came early. Very healthy and green. It was very warm and moist inside the package. Shape is so beautiful on this Java fern! I’m not sure of the growth rate on these yet but I’m about to get a full spectrum light today from Amazon and that should help my plants grow faster. I also use liquid plant food for them. I used aquarium glue from Amazon to put the ferns on a rock I found and rinsed well. So far the ferns seem to be doing well! Well worth what you pay for them.

Quality
Exceeded expectations in both quality and delivery timeframe. I’ve only had it for about a week but it seems to have adapted to its new aquarium quite well so far. A great addition to my developing shrimp environment.

Cute
They arrived before the delivery date, they lasted maybe a week before they started turning brown and rotting. They didn’t really take root in my tank. I’m 90% sure it’s my fault they didn’t make it but I did have to trim a bit of dead leaves off before I put the in my tank.

Very healthy and a great buy
When I got it I thought that there wasn't that much of it and that it wouldn't fill my tanks well. It separated into many plants and filled my 5g and had some extras for other tanks. They've all now grown even more plants, so I've been able to spread out the new plants to my other tanks and give some to my friend for her tanks. Also, the price is amazing compared to anything else in my area. The only place I've found mats like this was selling it for 35 dollars. I may get another mat, though this one alone has filled so much I may not need to. Update 27/10/13: I ended up ordering another mat since I do have a good number of tanks now(I have four 5g, three 10g, a 20g, and a 30g, with a few under 3g shrimp tanks). The plants from the first mat are still doing well, only a couple died because I had lighting issues (but I don't recall any of the whole plants dying, just a leaf or two). I have java fern in all of my tanks now, almost all of the tanks with five or more stems each of fully grown java ferns, and then many small ones that have grown from them planted in the foreground to grow. I tend to have the full grown ferns in the back, though, as they get good and tall in the smaller tanks. They look especially good in the 5g and 10g tanks I have, since they can to the height of the tank, so it gives a natural backdrop. In the 20g and 30g they are mid-range in size compared to the other plants I have, but are nice an lush looking, bringing a nice green in it. One thing that is really great about java fern is it is a pretty hearty plant and tolerates bad lighting really well. I now have good lighting in all of my tanks, but when I was having issues it was one of the few plants that did okay. It is one that you can be pretty confidant about not killing.
