There Are Moms Way Worse Than You: Irrefutable Proof That You Are Indeed a Fantastic Parent

I have purchased these for several friends. Whenever a mom friend starts dealing with a challenging child or tough parenting situations, I give them this book. It reminds us that we’re doing ok, to hang in there, and that there are worse mothers than us in a hysterical way! It gives a mom who is doubting themselves a laugh and a reality check. Highly recommend!

I got this for my mum for mother's day. My mum laughed SO much while she read this! She wasn't convinced that she wasn't the worst mum out there even after reading it, though (bummer!), but she loved it so much that she shared it with one of her friends who was like "I NEED THIS BOOK!" If your mum has a dark-adjacent sense of humour or enjoys fun facts about animals, definitely get it for her. Even if the sense of humour isn't her cup of tea, I think deep down she'll appreciate the message coming from YOU, their child.

The book has a very unique sense of humor it’s clever, silly, and a little wild in the best way. It’s the kind of book you can flip through quickly, but it still sticks with you because the jokes and comparisons are so unexpected. One thing I really enjoyed is how the book puts motherhood into perspective. It uses humor to remind you that you’re doing better than you think, and that no parent is perfect which is something every mom needs to hear at least once in a while. The way it mixes real animal facts with jokes is super creative and adds to the charm. The only reason I didn’t give it a full five stars is because there’s some swearing and a few illustrations that felt a little inappropriate or not something I’d personally want around younger kids. The humor definitely leans more toward an adult audience, so I wouldn’t consider it a family-friendly book or something to read with little ones. Still, the message behind it is uplifting and funny, and the delivery is unforgettable. It’s a great gift for moms who appreciate humor with a bit of an edge, and it’s perfect when you need a reminder not to be so hard on yourself. Overall, it’s unique, entertaining, and genuinely hilarious just definitely a book meant for adults.

This book is a hilarious and light hearted book aimed at making parents feel reassured they are doing ok at parenting by exploring the habits of animals and how they treat their young. Comparatively the parent realises they are a better parent. It had us both laughing at the content.
