Worked as Expected

I’ve spent a lot of money (really, a lot) as a real estate agent hiring Matterport guys to make virtual tours of my home listings. While the top-of-the-line equipment in the hands of an expert will still be best (and on my highest end listings, I’ll still hire out) this makes a scan so close in quality that I can do 80 percent of the homes myself without feeling that I’m shortchanging the client at all (it helps that I’m also a photographer). The biggest takeaway is that any agent at any level who isn’t willing to invest the time to create a Matterport tour of ANY listing at this point isn’t fully representing their client’s properties. It’s a cheap investment that absolutely pays off (assuming you have a high end iPhone).

This was overall a good product, the only con was that the tripod cannot be used for general purpose. This is particularly true for the case that one wants to hook the iPhone horizontally

It is a great way to get a quality Matterport Scan. Produces a much cleaner scan using a phone vs holding the phone with the center of the phone consistent during a scan.

The Matterport software worked great with my phone. When I tried to use the camera+axis, it would sometimes work for 2-3 pictures then turn off, other times it would just shut off when I hit capture in the camera+axis mode. I tried making it work for two frustrating days and returned it. It would be a great piece of equipment if the software worked. Going over YouTube videos, this has been a problem for over a year with no fix. I wouldn't recommend it

I can see why professionals love this (I joined the user group on Facebook). I'm a casual user, very happy with how easy the hardware and software both work. Great price, comes with a nice case. I started with the free subscription but quickly got hooked, the stitching worked perfectly in the software.

Images produced are minimally acceptable. Theta X is the professional option

Easy to setup and use. I’ll never do that matterport scan without this. Remote is a game changer.
