Brush Lettering Kit - DIY Brush Lettering Starter Set by Wildflower Art Studio

Super cute. I love the set and think it's a great package. I enjoy the different fonts and pens. I think it's better than a book that you have to read, but there isn't a lot of instruction. I think jumping right into the writing is more beneficial. This comes with 1 tracing pad which is nice to do a whole alphabet, but when you're supposed to be doing one letter at a time you have to keep moving the tracing paper, so I just keep doing alphabets. I think it's a great starter set and is packaged so nicely that it would be a fabulous gift. However, be prepared to buy more paper soon, what is included doesn't last long.

Worth the money. It has an assortment of great quality pens, a quick guide, tracing paper, and templates to trace and practice on. I would recommend getting an additional pad of tracing paper for extra practice. Instructions are easy, you can get started quickly, and it is packed well. 5 stars and a great buy for beginners!

4 stars because I’ll be honest: 1) I haven’t actually had a chance to play around with this much yet, & 2) When I opened it up to fawn over all of the beautiful pens & brushes it came with, one of them (the gold one) leaked when I took the lid off of it — it had actually already been leaking so much into its lid that when I opened it, it kind spilled out onto my other beautiful pens a little bit. Luckily, I hadn’t removed the brown wrapping paper from the package yet so the ink wasn’t able to leak onto anything that couldn’t be wiped clean. That said, I am SO stoked on this set. I’m all about penmanship & writing things by hand so my fiancé bought this for me for Christmas & I love it already. Many of the pens/brushes I’ve seen recommended in my local art store so I know they’re high quality. I also actually already use one of the micro brush brands’ pens to journal with & since I found it more than 7 years ago, it’s the only one I’ll use if I can help it. So yeah, great choice of tools. The only other note I have is kind of a back-handed compliment: my fiancé & I share an Amazon account so when the seller(s) emailed to see how I was enjoying things & let me know how much they appreciated my business, they actually spilled the beans on my Christmas gift (my email is the one assigned to our account). So, while I found their message thoughtful I was also a little bummed to have my surprise ruined. Still, nice touch & I’m sure otherwise it would have been much appreciated. Please let me know if you found this review helpful as I rely heavily on others’ reviews of online products when making my own purchases as well 🙂.

I have never done any lettering and was hesitant to order the kit. I felt as though it would be too much “stuff” for a beginner. I was certainly wrong! This kit far exceeded my expectations! The attention to detail and care is glaring from the moment you open the package. Once opened all the information provided is absolutely helpful. The background information they provide in the booklet should not be skipped! The practice cards are detailed and helped develop my skills a lot. I ordered this wanting a new calming hobby to relax my mind and this kit from Wildflower has definitely drawn me into lettering. I’ll be ordering other kits from them in the future.

I didn’t realize how much I would LOVE brush lettering! I feel like I finally found the perfect go-to hobby. Literally all you need is this kit, and some scrap paper + final product paper and you’ll be on your way to a super low key hobby that’s so much fun. I have the calligraphy kit from Woldflower Art Studio as well, which I love, but this is great for quick and easy creations with no setup or cleanup. Just grab your pens and paper and go!

I love this brush lettering kit for the beginner! I love the variety of pens that it provides. Sometimes you don't want to buy the entire pack of a certain type of pen because you don't know how they'll work out! It also comes with a handy tracing paper to use with the booklet. Finally, I love that they provide you with a couple of envelopes and tags so that you can put your practice to the test by creating some final pieces. This kit is thoughtfully put together and is perfect for someone looking to start a new hobby in brush lettering!

In my humble opinion, this kit is crazy overpriced.
