Garbage
I purchased this remote twice: once in 2021, and again in 2022. When the second one stopped functioning properly (just like the first) after a year, I did what I should’ve done initially and bought an authentic remote directly from Bose. It even came with the battery installed. Both of these “universal” remotes were garbage. The buttons weren’t responsive, and the volume eventually got stuck after increasing on its own to the highest level. Two remotes, in two years, and without batteries?—the authentic Bose remote, even with shipping, cost me less money in the end, and I’ll likely have it for years to come without incident, but even if I do, I’ll have recourse through the Bose company. Lesson learned!

Universal isn't so universal
My bad -- my fault. Bought two before discovering the OLD Bose Waveradio, Model AWR-1, is NOT comptable. A DIFFERENT replacement remote is needed for the older radio. Great radio -- stupid design. Be sure you're looking at the replacement that is compatable. My fault. Don't assume. The right one is also on Aamazon somehwhere.. I'll let you know. I bought one. we'll see what shows up.

Can not set the alarm with this remote.
Could not set the alarm with this. Remote is coming apart and sounds like it is tape holding it shut inside. sticky sound when pressing the buttons.

Make sure you use a CR2032 battery - a CR2025 will physically fit but doesn't work right.
Just a cautionary note - somewhere I had read that this remote needs a CR2025 battery. So I tried that first and it was really wonky - the AUX button worked sometimes and sometimes the other buttons would flash the screen briefly. And yes, I did confirm the CR2025 was fresh and had good voltage. So just on a wild hair, I tried a CR2032 battery instead and lo and behold, it then started to work properly
